It's not officially a holiday until some fat-ass gets trampled to death at Walmart in a stampede to buy cheap, Chinese plastic toys with their new credit card. That is quality entertainment and says a lot about the state of our country.
Scuffling customers close California Wal-Mart on Black Friday
Black Friday crowds eager to spend
Come on, people!! Spend your asses off, we have a grasping consumers paradise of a country to get back on it's feet! The economy depends on you maxing out your credit cards in order for our fabulous corporations to post a profit for the first time this year.
Black Friday brawls break out at two Wal-Mart stores
There ya go!! That's more like it.
Canadians take shine to U.S. Black Friday
I find that disturbing. Canada wants in on the stupidity? Awesome! Take a ticket Canada, even though Thanksgiving is not your holiday but who cares? Our ancestors went begging to the "Indians" (Native Americans) for some food because apparently they were a little hungry.
So the good Native Americans shared their food to keep the Pilgrims alive. In return for this generous gesture, the Pilgrims who "discovered" this great land, killed and exploited the Native Americans for the next 300 years. The "Settlers" wiped out the natives food supply, gave them smallpox (on purpose), gave them liquor and sold them guns.....all the the name of "settling" the west.
We now join our regularly scheduled program of fighting over plastic bullshit while paying with plastic bullshit.....
Memphis police called to Black Friday scuffle at Toys "R" Us
Witnesses at Toys "R" Us in the Wolfchase shopping area said a woman used a taser to push the crowd back.
Nothing like gettin' tasered on Black Friday!
Black Friday tally: Shoppers show up - and spend
Black Friday Shoppers Crowd Best Buy, Target for ‘Elusive Game’
Shoppers gathered at Best Buy Co. , Target Corp. and Toys “R” Us Inc. stores from New Jersey to Texas well before midnight yesterday to take advantage of Black Friday deals on televisions, laptops and robot hamsters.
And people wonder why the country is in the shitter. Losers getting in line before midnight so they can get dibbs on a Robot Hamster and video games.....Yet, they won't spend 20 mins at the voting booth because that's too much trouble......
Walmart Works To Prevent Black Friday Stampede
Good luck, Walmart. Your target audience is rednecks, hillbillies and ghetto rats. Good luck with keeping the stampedes in check. Better put up some cattle gates...
US consumers spend up on 'Black Friday'
Consumers? How about "Idiotic Impulse Buyers"?
Black Friday Madness: 'Thrill of the hunt' packs area stores
Corporations have actually convinced people they are getting a great deal!! Yeah, you and 200 million other clowns stampeding the front door of Walmart at 4am just to have your face get stepped on by some 300 lb chick who thought it would be a great idea to wear 4" heels to go shopping.....
Black Friday shopping reaches Claremont
Black Friday marked the start of the holiday shopping season. And, just like most places, the gift shop at the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle was open early and had special deals for shoppers.
"Hey, those old people have money too! We gotta get it before they leave to their kids or something!! - Official spokesman for Black Friday
Thousands line up for Black Friday deals in Fort Worth
—Midnight Madness meet Black Friday. Toys R Us turned shopping carts over to form a barrier around the front of the line to prevent people from cutting in front of others. Store employees estimated that at least 2,000 people were in line when the store opened its doors at midnight.
People are no smarter than cattle. The above story proves it.
Black Friday shoppers damage store
The Old Navy store on Soncy opened at three this morning to let shoppers get an early start.
The door has been repaired but was was fully off its hinges at three this morning as a crowd of shoppers apparently tried to push their way into the store. The store manager called the police.
I think that qualifies as LOOTING.
Black Friday fight!
Calif. Wal-Mart closes doors as Black Friday shoppers fight over deals
"Daddy, did you get me my Christmas present"?
"Uhhh, not really son. Daddy spent the day and last night in the city jail for punching some fat lady in the line at Walmart".
Police presence keeps Black Friday scuffles to minimum
Black Friday fight breaks out at Florida Walmart courier-journal ...
Black Friday: First Blood Part II
Black Friday mayhem: Queens man shot for new flat-screen TV - but thugs can't ...
They shot a guy for his Plasma, not knowing the TV would not fit into their car. The funny part? These idiots thought ahead enough to cut the phone lines to the house, but didn't have enough sense to bring a tape measure to make sure their loot would fit in the car.....
Behind the scenes on Black Friday with a Best Buy manager
I am still waiting on someone to get trampled to death.

Why Americans believe propaganda
>
Americans develop elaborate rationalizations based on propaganda that their Govt feeds them and they become deeply attached to their beliefs. Their emotional involvement becomes wrapped up in their personal identity and sense of morality. They look for information that supports their beliefs and avoid information that challenges them, regardless of the facts of the matter.
What the sociologists tell us is that by the time facts become clear, people are emotionally wedded to the beliefs planted by the propaganda and find it a wrenching experience to free themselves. It is more comfortable, instead, to denounce the truth-tellers than the liars whom the truth-tellers expose.
The psychology of belief retention even when those beliefs are wrong is a pillar of social cohesion and stability. It explains why, once change is effected, even revolutionary governments become conservative. The downside of belief retention is its prevention of the recognition of facts. Today in the United States millions find it easier to chant “USA, USA, USA” than to accept facts that indicate the need for change.
Can you have a debate without scoffing at someone who knows far more about a subject than you do? What is your response when you find that you cannot defend your beliefs against the evidence presented? Scoff some more? Become enraged?
Some people think I should suppress information that is inconsistent with their beliefs and talk about other things. These readers never have any comprehension of the subject matter because they do not research the material they are arguing about. They are simply emotionally offended.
The problem faced by truth is the emotional needs of people. Many Americans feel that they must believe their government so that they don’t feel like they are being unsupportive or unpatriotic, and they are very fearful of being called “terrorist sympathizers.”
Most of the people who are content with the government’s or a TV host’s official explanation have never examined the evidence of the subject matter. Yet, these know-nothings shout down those like me who have studied the matter closely for thousands of hours.
I am only after the truth. I am not looking to reinforce my belief system by finding ideas and “evidence” that support my way of thinking to make me feel better. My opinions change almost every day in light of new evidence.
As far as I can tell, most Americans have far greater confidence in the government or their favorite political TV Host than they do in the truth. Neither end of the political spectrum is capable of fundamental questioning of the government. This explains the ease with which our government routinely deceives the people.
Democracy is based on the assumption that people are rational beings who factually examine arguments and are not easily manipulated. Studies are not finding this to be the case. In my own experience in talking to the highly educated, individuals in public policy, and everyday people, I have learned that everyone from professors to high school dropouts has difficulty with facts and analyses that do not fit with what they already believe.
The notion that "we are not afraid to follow the truth wherever it may lead" is an extremely romantic and idealistic notion. I have seldom experienced open minds even in the professional arena or in the educated world. Among the public at large, the ability to follow the truth wherever it may lead is almost non-existent.
America's financial capability and living standards are forever lower. Our country's prestige and world leadership are forever damaged. The first decade of the 21st century has been squandered in pointless wars, and it appears the second decade will also be squandered in the same pointless and bankrupting pursuit.
The most disturbing fact of all remains: People do not actually want to hear the facts if those facts are not in line with their personal belief system. People are afraid to question anything of consequence because they are afraid of what others might think of them.
A man must be both stupid and uncharitable who believes there is no virtue or truth but on his own side.--Joseph Addison

Capitalism & Greed are ruining the planet
>
I had a good friend send me something today that sent me over the edge (again).
This is the EXACT reason I rail against Capitalism. Most of our goods are Made in COMMUNIST China. After we pissed away $13.5 TRILLION on the Cold War alone fighting Communism.
Its a giant joke and a slap in the face to anyone with 1/2 a brain.
America makes up 5% of the earth's population but consumes 25% of the worlds resources.
This is the result of it.
And they call people like me & my friend crazy.......
Pollution in China - A Must Read
This is just one example.... head to the original article to read and see the rest.
Rain Forest Residents, Texaco Face Off In Ecuador : NPR
It's not just Capitalism that is the evil part of the equation. It is the entire Monetary system. Unfortunately, people can't wrap their brains around the idea that we have enough resources for every person on this planet to live a good life. Enough food, enough water and enough energy.
I will quote this figure until people start to GET IT:
$18 TRILLION wasted on wars in the last century, $13 Trillion on the Cold War alone. What could we have bought for that money? Housing for everyone, Education for everyone, Healthcare for everyone. No more hungry, no more homeless.
Don't tell me I live in some dream world. These are actual figures of money we didn't need to spend. We stopped Communism? Look at 80% of the stuff in your houses: Made in CHINA. COMMUNIST China.
We won the Cold War? Really? WTF did we "win"? Our nation is $12 Trillion in DEBT. Russia is not nearly that deep in debt. I think they got the last laugh.
The problem is NOBODY wants to debate me on this topic because they know they can't. They have no argument. The facts DO NOT lie.
Keep believing the bullshit being pumped out of the TV 24-7. Don't believe what your eyes and ears are telling you, I am sure Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh can explain it all away.

400 oz Gold plated tungsten bars discovered
>
Gold bars stuffed with tungsten
http://news.goldseek.com/GoldSeek/1258049769.php
Well, that ain't worth a damn. I wonder if gold has the same weight as tungsten?
http://reactor-core.org/~djw/myblog/archives/2008/10/24/T12_14_56/
Makes this news seem kinda strange, being the price of Gold is rising and the IMF wanted to SELL a lot of their "gold"...
The IMF announced:
“I am delighted that the Executive Board has given its overwhelming backing to a strictly limited sale of Fund gold to put the financing of the IMF on a sound long-term footing, and enable us to step up much-needed concessional lending to the poorest countries,” Managing Director Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn stated. “These sales will be conducted in a responsible and transparent manner that avoids disruption of the gold market. Most importantly, the sales are strictly limited to 403.3 metric tons, which is one-eighth of the Fund’s total holdings, so the IMF will continue to hold a relatively large amount of its assets in gold.”
http://www.imf.org/external/np/sec/pr/2009/pr09310.htm
Why would they need to "raise funds" by selling their gold for a rapidly declining US Dollar (or any fiat currency)? Unless........
Unless their "Gold" is mostly fake gold plated tungsten.

Yup, doing it for the "poor people" and the "children"! The IMF is selling the 403 tonnes of gold they bought from Brazil and Mexico. Did the IMF buy real gold and then swap it out with the gold plated tungsten bars and sell the gold-plated tungsten bars on the open market?
Then we read about Englands gold reserves are physically "deteriorating".
http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/banking_and_finance/article2554723.ece
Then we have this story:
Brown lost £2bn selling UK's gold - Times Online
Gordon Brown's decision to sell half of the UK's gold reserves ...
Did the Bank of England find out their gold was fake and get rid of it?
This is interesting

There have been very few new applications for tungsten in recent years and most end use markets are relatively mature. This means that average growth rates tend to be generally in line with cyclical economic activity. However, global demand rose from 45,100tW in 2002 to 60,500tW in 2005, an average of 10%py. Demand for tungsten is forecast to grow by an average 3%py to 2010, when it will reach 68,250t.
So there were no new uses for tungsten yet there was a sudden spike in demand where the annual growth rate tripled from 2002-2005. I calculate the anomalous extra demand to equal 21,000 t. This is by no means proof of anything but a sudden massive increase in demand for a metal that has no new applications and is in a mature market is difficult to explain away.
Perhaps there WAS a new use for tungsten that very few people know about…like making fake LGD gold bars! Most LGD bars will be kept in vaults in London and not be re-assayed if they don’t leave the vault. An almost water tight fraud once they are accepted in to the vault that even auditors could not detect. The plot thickens!
There are two foreign depositories for gold:
1. Bank of England
2. Bank of NY
There is little doubt that the source of the "tungsten" is the Bank of England.
One of the oldest scams is making a brick of tungsten and covering the brick with gold, sealing all the edges and covering the whole surface with real gold.
A London Good Delivery Gold Brick is a 400 oz gold brick, stamped on the bottom with the assayer (e.g. Johnson Mathey). The stamp would have the serial number and the weight of the bar to 3 decimal places.
If I were to buy gold from London and ship to say the bank of Nova Scotia, Scotia Macotta, the agent for the bank and for me would guarantee to me the purity and the weight.
For this I pay insurance, shipping fees and storage fees. If the gold comes from their own inventory, they would not assay. If it comes from another vault, then one or two bricks would be assayed.
The assay requires a hole to be drilled to make sure that gold is uniform. The core and the brick is then heated and reweighed and stamped and that new brick would have Good Delivery Status.
It would be a nightmare to assay every brick that comes to a bank.
It now seems that the Chinese asked for an assay on some of their bricks and lo and behold, some were filled with Tungsten. You can imagine the nightmare that this presents itself.
Who has been buying gold lately?
India bought 200 tons of the 403 tons....
India said it was keen to diversify its reserves away from the US dollar, which has weakened in recent months.
USA: "You wanna diversify away from the Dollar? Sure, please hold one minute for our customer service rep. He will be with you shortly".
USA to Federal Reserve board: "Hey, we got India on hold wanting to diversify away from the dollar and buy some gold. WTF are we going to do now"?
Fed Board: "Hey, we still have some of those gold plated tungsten bricks! Lets unload 403 tons of that crap on them, they will never know. We will make it look like the Chinese did it"!!
The IMF only offered it to other Central Banks. I wonder why? If the Central Bank discovered the fake bars, would they even say anything? Or would they let people assume they have real gold?
My suspicion is that India is getting rid of a few US Dollars obtained in international trade and buying the gold, before the dollar slides further.
Take into account that the value of all the Gold mined in history only amounts to about $5 Trillion if sold at todays prices (give or take a few million).
The US has -$65 Trillion in real estate debt, -$100 Trillion in unfunded liabilities like Medicare, Social Security, and not to mention the $600 Trillion in Derivatives floating around out there......
Something stinks.
If I was a banking cartel member I would be sweating like a saturday night working girl singing a sunday morning church solo.
