Do you believe in prayer? If so, then you are delusional and an idiot.

Your bible has plenty of examples on the power of prayer, and yet in 2011 there is not one verifiable example of any prayer being answered. Oh yes, there are plenty of anecdotal stories but no proof. Rick Perry prayed for rain in Texas and that didn’t work. Texas ended up with the worse drought in HISTORY. Hilarious.

You really think I don’t have hope? Here’s what I hope for …. all disease to be eradicated, more schools built so that every child can have an education, more hospitals built and every person on this planet provided health care, I hope that men will stop believing in their mythical books and then they might stop beating women, I hope all women are given access to reproduction education, birth control and abortions, I hope all wars will stop and I hope all people will learn to be accountable for themselves instead of praying for answers.

I hope every person has all the food and shelter they need. Tell me one of the major religions that isn’t oppressive to women? I’d like that to stop! When you and I die, we both end up exactly the same … star dust. If there is something else out there, I don’t need to worry about it now because whatever it is, it’s not as it was written in the bible which if you’ve read it, you know it is more about control than love.

You do realize, that your bible was written by uneducated bronze age tribesmen who were likely doing a few Hallucinogenic drugs and they had no access to science or technology? Would you take advice from those people sitting around a campfire, drinking their wine/beer and smoking marijuana today? I don’t think so.

In AD and BC surgeries were performed by exactly the same sorts of people who wrote the bible and those didn’t work out too well. Would you want any surgery performed the same as it was done 2000 years ago? Why is it that everything has advanced except religion? There’s no proof of Adam and Eve, no proof of Moses, no historical proof of Jesus, no proof of Noah’s Ark. Every culture developed their own ideas of gods and most grew to give them up, but not you. Why not? Why do you need a crutch when that crutch has been rotting at a very quick pace for the past two centuries?

You also need to keep in mind the size of the universe. There are some 300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars (give or take a few zero) … 300 sextillion stars. No, that doesn’t include planets or moons. So where is your heaven in all of this? Hubble hasn’t found it, but it has sent us back a few images of what the universe looks like. No angels and no gods in spite of what you think in your delusional pea brain.

This is a world where great benefit could be gained if all religionists would give up their delusions. There’s a lot that needs to be accomplished. A lot of lives would be saved, if the $400,000,000 dollars donated to churches in the US last year was instead used to benefit science or technology. There would be little impact on society today if religion were to totally disappear. On the other hand, we can’t live as we live today, if science and/or technology were to disappear. Science doesn’t have all the answers but it does have answers. When you look to the bible it’s nothing more than wishful thinking full of lots of contradictions and horrific acts.

Nothing happens for any reason. There are things beyond your control and things that aren’t. More proof of your delusion when you think some god is trying to send you a message that there’s a reason. Now get up and work in your garden, enjoy your grandchildren, play some music, go for a walk. Know that nature is beautiful and enjoy this one life you have to live as best you can.

God and his silly rules

Every now and then there is a passage in the Bible that makes you just wonder. One that does it for me is this one:

Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee. ~ Leviticus 19:19

That’s GOD talking, and he is damn serious!!! The God who theists believe created the universe and everything in it; who has existed forever; who is all knowing, all powerful. And here he is giving his chosen people fashion tips, and admonishing them not to create hybrid cattle or plants.

While inexplicably idiotic to you and I, Christian apologists are, by their infirmity, condemned to defend it. Their explanations in short are as follows: a pure breed of plant or animal is better than a mixed breed, and God knows this. On the fabric issue here’s the quote: “God established these laws to ensure that low quality fabrics are not produced.”

That’s right dear reader; God knowingly gives the Jews bad advice on cattle husbandry and agriculture. Maybe he didn’t know that cross breeding could increase milk and meat production, improve plant resistance to draught and pests, as well as increase the heartiness / adaptability of the species by incorporating the best qualities of other breeds. And what erroneous info led God to believe that fabric blends just don’t stand up to his rigid standards of performance?

Look, these weren’t off handed suggestions… He meant business! Breaking ANY of God’s laws were punishable by some pretty stiff penalties, up to and including being stoned to death [“Hey Aaron, that had better NOT be wool fringe I see on your cotton robe!] .

So, one might wonder if these instructions were so important to God why is it that Christians wear wool blend clothes, and their farmers cross breed cattle, create hybrid plants? Answer- the usual feeble reply: “Oh…we don’t have to follow the old laws since Jeebus died for us.” And yet, they can’t begin to explain:

1. Why did God give bad animal husbandry / agricultural dictates to begin with?

2. Why would Jesus’ death make the cross breeding of cattle and plants suddenly ok and in the best interest of his creations; and why would it render blending wool and plant fibers in a garment acceptable? A dead Jew suddenly made those fabrics last longer???

3. Finally, how come God has a bug up his ass for THESE idiotic laws, but neglected laws about pedophilia, slavery, and demanding women be treated equal with men?

Christians should wonder about those things but they won’t. They won’t because it could lead to thinking which makes their heads hurt and could weaken their faith. Meanwhile, the rest of us will wonder how Christians can be so utterly simple minded, and their God such a numbskull.

A few random observations here:

- Cain said, "The pundits would like for me to shut up, drop out, and go away." Speaking for pundits everywhere, are you fucking kidding? It's people like Herman Cain who make our jobs easier. Got nothing to write about? Huh. What crazy shit did Herman Cain say yesterday? That well is dry now. Damn.

- He also said, "We know that those false and unproved allegations are not true." Umm, "unproved" means that there's a chance they could be proved. Just sayin'.

- Essentially, all Cain said was "Those women are liars and to prove it, I'm quitting my campaign. Kiss Herman Cain's ass and buy his book. Cain forever."

- One other note to all of the people who supported Cain and the "pundits" who proclaimed him the best, most authentic candidate who can beat Barack Obama, especially those made a big deal about his race: If your candidate says the word "Pokemon," not as a joke but as a source for a quote-worthy "poem," in his speech where he's quitting his campaign, he not only was never that serious a candidate, he wasn't that serious a grown-up.

Adios, Herman Cain. Your campaign was a success: You've lined up enough rubes who'll pay to see your egress to keep you rich the rest of your life.

College football

As most people do not know about me, I am a huge college football fan. Being from the backwoods of Louisiana, I really had no choice in becoming an LSU football fan growing up.

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted LSU to win a National Championship I could remember and tell my grandkids about one day. Luckily in 2003 and in 2007 I got to witness LSU win National Championships.

Today I watch the SEC Championship game featuring my LSU Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs. More than that, I hopefully get to watch LSU remain undefeated and run the table on their way to a 14-0 perfect season.

That has been my dream since I was a child. Watch our LSU Tigers finish a season unbeaten and win the National Championship.

One life so make it count

This life on earth is the only one we get and decisions made here, determines our happiness - and it is in THIS, that the puppet-masters have a vested interest. Time is our most precious asset; it is always and deliberately in short supply and usually expended on the wrong things. Why waste it allowing our potential, our personality, our values to be shaped, crafted, and limited according to the priorities and cares of this phony world? There are many truly important decisions that are crucial to our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, decisions that require information and research. But if it's an issue where money is involved, objective data won't be so easy to obtain. Remember, if everybody knows something, that image has probably been bought and paid for - because mammon rules. Real knowledge, discernment and understanding require a huge effort; it involves careful, systematic excavation down at least one level below what everybody else “knows,” and will most certainly cost you something.

The power to fit in with one's social peers is irresistible. To a human lemming, the commonsense logic behind an opinion doesn't count as much as the power, popularity and acceptance that comes with that opinion. Lemming hood is a survival trait, an inborn instinct in the vast majority of people and takes an enormous amount of courage to break free of it. Thankfully, there are those few who do possess both the courage and intellectual capacity to escape the shackles of lemming-hood and accept the truth when it is presented in a clear and logical manner.

The people of the 21st century are the most conditioned, programmed lemmings the world has ever known. Not only are our thoughts and attitudes continually being shaped and molded; our very awareness of the evolving design seems like it is being subtly and inexorably erased. The doors of our perceptions are carefully and precisely regulated. It is an exhausting and endless task to keep explaining to people how most issues of conventional wisdom are scientifically implanted in the public consciousness bit by bit - by a thousand media clips per day. Once the basic principles are clearly seen about how our current establishment system arose historically, the reader might be more apt to question any given popular “politically correct” opinion.

Each of our so-called “realities” is an abstraction of indoctrinated axioms and perceived truths that are constrained by our sensory perceptions. From the moment of birth, we each embark on a personal journey to construct our own unique abstracted reality, or as I like to call it, “reality matrix.” In this matrix, each node consists of one or more of these perceived truths. During childhood, the foundational nodes of our reality matrix are laid, and shape the perception we will have as adults. For example, if you are born in England, you will learn to speak English with all its many and intricate cultural implications that will inevitably affect your life. If you are born in France you will learn French and so on.

Additionally, we fine-tune our matrix with our own unique beliefs through our personal life’s experiences, good and bad. The matrix that is given to us along with the smaller part of the matrix that we create for ourselves soon becomes the "filter" or “guardian” of our minds. New knowledge is always passed through this filter to see if it fits our subjective preconceptions. This is how we decide what we will, or will not accept as truth. This filter ultimately becomes so powerful, that it is capable of completely blocking out data that it deems worthless, unreal or unsubstantial and becomes even stricter with what it allows, the older we become.

Ideally we should judge each new idea on its merits, from a position of emotional neutrality and solely upon the evidence and related information that we can find to support it. If we do manage to find sufficient and convincing proof, then it can be reasonably regarded as true and thus incorporated into our reality, but this is far easier said than done. Reality matrices vary greatly from person to person and may contain many conflicting beliefs. From within a person’s reality matrix arise thoughts, expectations, intentions and emotions, which lead to the choices that are made in daily life. Many of us live so close to the beliefs of our reality matrix that we don't recognize them as merely subjective beliefs. These entrenched ideas become absolute “truths” that must be held and defended at all costs.

Our individual reality matrices are thereby kept in check and then reinforced by the collective matrix of the establishment-system, or what is colloquially termed as “political correctness.” This so-called “political correctness” is the expectation by the elite masters, for people to agree only with that information which the elite, through the controlled media everywhere, have conditioned the minds of the population to accept as being the truth. Much of this “truth” is nevertheless false, where critical facts upon which a true judgment depends are deliberately omitted or falsified, especially on critical issues which are generally upheld as being “public opinion” and thus to be accepted and believed.

Predictably, the very same people who place Presidents, Prime Ministers, Senators, and other representatives in positions of political power through the use of their multi-billion dollar fortunes are the same moneyed interests that have deliberately destroyed education. This cabal has long strived for a working class that was to be taught to do a particular job and not to think about social or political issues. They have now created an educational structure cleverly focusing on training instead of cognitive learning. This ruler-imposed system, enhanced by anti-intellectual activities such as meaningless minority-group studies and the merits and joys of multiculturalism, creates programmed lemmings that understand almost nothing of what occurs beyond the propaganda and mythology of the political-financial elite.

“Because state and corporate power depend on a similar set of unchallenged, unquestionable distortions and delusions, incoherence remains vital for their survival. The simple fact is, the education SYSTEM of today does ANYTHING-BUT to allow us to think freely. When you sit for an exam, the answers you provide are graded on how well they match with the indoctrination you have received during the year. Education is never about education in a real sense that produces character, wisdom and understanding because this would produce an objective mind-set, a dangerous thing indeed to those pulling the strings. It is all about rewarding those that CONFORM to establishment concepts, where it was understood long ago, that if you can control what people are taught and how their individual “reality filter” functions, then you can control the nature of society as a whole and inevitably steer it in the direction that you want.

As unbelievable as it may seem, it's quite possible to be a Ph.D., Doctor, Lawyer, Businessman, Journalist, an Accountant, or Factory Hand and at the same time be an uneducated person in the true sense. The difference between real education and vocational training has been cleverly blurred in our time, so that we now have people successfully practicing their vocations, while at the same time being totally ignorant of the larger and more important issues of the world in which they live.

An observation on curriculum from Alvin Toffler’s: "The Covert Curriculum.” "Built on the factory model, mass education taught basic reading, writing, and arithmetic, a bit of history and other subjects. This was the "overt curriculum." But beneath it lay an invisible or "covert curriculum" that was far more basic. It consisted -- and still does in most industrial nations -- of three courses: one in punctuality, one in obedience, and one in rote, repetitive work. Factory labour demanded workers who showed up on time, especially assembly-line hands. It demanded workers who would take orders from a management hierarchy without questioning. And it demanded men and women prepared to slave away at machines or in offices, performing brutally repetitious operations.”

On educated people one discerning writer put it this way: “The reason that educated people are more susceptible to propaganda than uneducated people is that educated people tend to overestimate their own understanding. Truth is hidden from all those, for whatever reason, close their eyes to truth. The main reason that people are deceived is that they will not receive "the love of the truth". We must become lovers of Truth no matter how much it hurts. It is the truth that will set us free only if we will learn how to recognize and receive the WHOLE truth and not just those things that we are comfortable with. To firstly KNOW and to then tell THE Truth is a responsibility not only to yourself but also to others. It is an honor, a duty, and your legacy for generations to come.

Anti-Semitism

What happened over the years and now even more so since 2005-6, is instead of the zionist and Israelis considering the growing resentment of them in the US public and backing off, they doubled down, got more aggressive and more vicious toward their critics and assorted enemies. They intensified their efforts to censor, they became even more loud and bullying and demanding. They upped the demonizing of everyone and sent out their minion army of hasbaras to scream anti-semite at everyone.

They started bragging even more in public about their power and control of US government and elections and people saw that reflected in our politician’s statements of fidelity to Israel and that really cinched for the public that, yes indeed, the Jews (the public doesn’t all discriminate between Jews and zionist) were controlling our government in a lot of areas.

So you know for a normal person after a while, enough of this is enough. Its like being married to some ungrateful insane woman who tries to scratch your eyes out every day because you bought her a Mercedes instead of a Rolls Royce.

And we in the US are more than aware of this insanity in the current crop of New Aposotolic Reformationist presidential hopefuls like Perry, Bachmann, and Palin touting the ‘I love Israel more than the US’ line. You better believe people are getting mad, and, you know what? These are NOT anti-semitic people—they don’t give a shit about Jews any more than they care about the Chinese guy who runs the Pick Up Stix restaurant, they want freaking JOBS—but their utterances are going to sound wildly anti-semitic to most people.

America is a nation desperate to believe they remain a just and moral people even as they carry out unjust and immoral wars upon other nations all over the globe. Those (far too many) Americans who lack the courage to stand up to a government gone wrong are grasping at any symbol that allows them to pretend they remain decent human beings.

They won't oppose the violence in Iraq, so they scream about violence on TV. They cannot face up to the reality of torture of innocent victims so they complain about "decency" in movies. They bash gays. They demand religious mythology replace science in the schools.

They scream for the Ten Commandments to be displayed in the offices of government while blind to that government's violation of those same commandments. And, of course, they that they really do care about every single human life, despite having sat in silence while hundreds of thousands of people were killed and the survivors showered with radioactive waste in wars started with lies and deceptions.

If hypocrisy were an Olympic event, Americans would take home the gold, silver, AND bronze.

Housing crisis simplified

It’s wrong to create a mortgage-backed security filled with loans you know are going to fail so that you can sell it to a client who isn’t aware that you sabotaged it by intentionally picking the misleadingly rated loans most likely to be defaulted upon.

Which is why I’ve been posting things in spurts with several weeks/months between activity. It’s not that there aren’t things to write about happening in the world, it’s largely that I’ve not had the energy to rant about them because I feel like I’ve ranted about them all before. So days pass as I search for something I feel like I can write something different about or I find something that makes a quick and easy post.

This is especially true of politics. Between the Republicans not giving a shit about anyone other than themselves and their rich buddies, the Tea Party trying to force a dogmatic political ideology even at the expense of the country they claim to love, or the Democrats acting like a bunch of spineless pussies who give away half their bargaining chips before they even try to negotiate with the Republicans, I’ve become totally disenchanted with the whole process. Obama, in particular, has been very disillusioning to the extent that I am seriously considering — for the first time since I’ve been able to do so — not voting in the next election.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been blogging for too long and I’m just getting cynical about so many things. I started blogging because I had something to say and a need to say it and I wanted to contribute my voice to the national discussion on a number of topics in the, perhaps naive, belief that speaking up made a difference. I used to write to my representatives a lot more than I do lately as well for much the same reasons. But these days it seems the inmates are running the asylum and no amount of discussion will make a difference because they’re not listening, have no intention of listening, and you can completely forget about compromise.

On top of that, the people who are ostensibly on our side either don’t have the political willpower to fight for our principles or just really aren’t on our side. Again, I’m talking about Obama who kinda portrayed himself as a progressive, but has in many ways been to the right of Reagan in many of the policies he’s pursued. Yes, he’s still probably a hundred-fold better than what a McCain/Palin administration would’ve been, but that’s little comfort when so many things he promised he’d fight for are the very things he caved on without so much as throwing a pillow at the opposition. Pointing this out again and again just seems so futile anymore.

That same is also true of the topic of religion. Even the amusement I used to get from rambling on about the latest bit of pareidolia has lost its luster. Credulous people are credulous and there doesn’t seem to be any shortage of them these days. It often feels like I’m repeating myself on too many of the topics in this category.

It doesn’t help that there are so many other bloggers out there dedicated to specific topics who are covering all of the stuff I used to rant about so much more thoroughly and better than I ever did. More often than not these days I find myself writing about a topic more to point out an angle or thought that wasn’t touched on by everyone else who wrote about it, but that’s an increasingly rare thing.

So my output has slowed and every now and then I wonder if I shouldn’t just hang up my hat and call it a good run. Nearly ten years is an incredibly long time to dedicate to one activity. Then I come across something that sparks my creative juices and I put out a few entries and I feel like I’m contributing once again and I think to myself, maybe I’ve got a little more I can do. And then four or five days pass without my writing so much as a sentence and I’m right back into that rut. I feel bad when I go more than a day or two without posting something because so many folks seem to drop by daily to see what small bit of insanity I’ve decided to share with them.

So that’s the state I find myself in right now. Less output because I’m trying to be somewhat novel in what I’m writing about. Even trying to get another bit of fiction finished so I can post that as a nice change of pace. Trying to be more than just that nutbag who’s always bitching about Republicans and True Believers™ on his blog. Trying to figure out how I can share more of myself in a way that’s interesting.

Who is the danger to world peace? Iran???

Since the 1979 Iranian revolution and the downfall of the US Puppet Ruler the Shah, Iran has been an Islamic state. In that interval of time, 1979 to the present, Iran has not invaded anyone. Not once. People of all religions live in peace in Iran, even Jews, who find life so comfortable in Iran they refused an offer by the government of Israel to emigrate!

In the same period of time, Israel, a self-declared Jewish state, attacked Iraq in 1981, bombing the power station at Osirik, claiming it was a clandestine weapons factory. Subsequent examination of the ruins following the 2003 invasion proved Israel had lied. In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon.

This led to the Massacres at Sabra and Shatilla. In February 2003 Israel stages incursions into Gaza and Nablus. In September 2007 Israel bombs Syria, again insisting they are destroying a clandestine weapons laboratory. Again there is no evidence to support Israel's claims.

In 2006, Israel attacks Lebanon, killing 1200, mostly civilians, several UN observers, and littering the landscape with land mines on their way out.In February 2008 Israel again raids Gaza, killing over 100. HAMAS agrees to a cease fire and keeps it for 6 months until November 4, when Israel again attacks, killing 6 HAMAS members, launching operation CAST LEAD.

1300 Gazans, mostly civilians, are killed. Israel loses 13 soldiers. Violations of international law include the use of White Phosphorus incendiary bombs against civilians and non-military targets. The United Nations investigates, but Israel refuses to cooperate.

In May 2010, Israel attacks an international aid flotilla bring food and medical supplies to Gaza in international waters. 9 people are murdered including an American from New York. Add to it the numerous assassinations such as last year's embarrassment in Dubai, and you get the picture, even without the overtly racist and apartheid statements coming from Israel's rabbis.

How many people have been blown up and shot and otherwise violently killed in the American invasion and eight-year U.S. occupation of Iraq, so far? We know the exact numbers of U.S. military dead and injured (4,436 dead and 32,009 wounded) and have a vague idea of “reported Iraqi deaths” (between 100,000 and 109,000), and then there were who knows how many dead from the illness and malnutrition that comes from having an entire country’s infrastructure destroyed — water lines, health clinics, vaccines and common medicines, grocery stores, produce markets, dairies, etc.

A lot of military contractors died, too. But they were in it for the Big Money, so nobody really counts them. Also, America’s “reputation and standing” were destroyed, forever, and just like the British after the Suez Canal debacle, the world will never pay attention to the U.S. government again. We are done, finished, an international joke, 309 million slobs trying to shoplift flatscreens with our Personal Mobility Scooters before the batteries run out.

So, the Iraq Invasion/Occupation was good for something, right? Also, the Iraqi defector who gave the United States all that “intelligence” about Saddam’s Weapons of Mass Destruction and all that? He just made it all up, because he wanted America to topple Saddam. It worked! Tell whatever lies you want for whatever ends you desire. That is the lesson.

This doesn’t seem to be getting a lot of play in the U.S. press today, does it? The Guardian reports:

The defector who convinced the White House that Iraq had a secret biological weapons programme has admitted for the first time that he lied about his story, then watched in shock as it was used to justify the war.

Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, codenamed Curveball by German and American intelligence officials who dealt with his claims, has told the Guardian that he fabricated tales of mobile bioweapons trucks and clandestine factories in an attempt to bring down the Saddam Hussein regime, from which he had fled in 1995.

“Maybe I was right, maybe I was not right,” he said. “They gave me this chance. I had the chance to fabricate something to topple the regime. I and my sons are proud of that and we are proud that we were the reason to give Iraq the margin of democracy.”

Haha, sure, you did great! Be proud. You easily tricked the former “superpower of the world” into a disastrous, eight-year nation-bankrupting nightmare fuckaround that resulted in the awful, violent, pointless death of at least a hundred thousand people. And you took down two countries in the process. Bravo, etc.

Now it seems the American people won’t even risk their credit ratings, student loans, the next piece of ass, or a sideways glance from people who look at them like AIDS patients for daring to deviate from the corporate, media-instilled norm. We have come a long way backward. Rodney King’s “Can’t we all just get along” has become the modern day theme song for the surrender of America’s character, and the L.A. Rebellion of 1992 was probably the last flame of will to fight injustice in American history.

This new quiescence comes at a time when US crimes are far worse and more far-reaching than they were in 1970; certainly in the eyes of the world. In 2001 the US government both facilitated and executed the attacks of 9/11 against its own people, killing thousands of its citizens as an excuse to launch a neo-imperial conquest for energy. A few Americans held small rallies, organized some ineffective groups, bought a few hundred thousand books and DVDs, listened to a few radio programs and lectures, and then quietly lined up to have their bags, emails, credit histories, minds and bodies searched. Critical mass was never achieved as Executive Orders along with the Patriot and Homeland Security Acts shredded the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th Amendments to our Bill of Rights.

After the 9-11 attacks the US government lied to create a war for profit in Iraq telling us that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, almost-ready atom bombs, poison gas and deadly germs. We were told that he helped execute the 9/11 attacks. It was all lies, and no one has held the US accountable for the hundreds of thousands of deaths (murders) in Iraq and Afghanistan since then. Few have tried to hold the government accountable for 4,700+ Americans who have died needlessly, and those who have, have been remarkably ineffective.

US presidential elections were stolen in 2000 and 2004 through rigged electronic voting software and intimidation. Not one drop of blood was spilled anywhere, even as the US Supreme Court rendered an illegal decision supporting the overthrow of the Constitution and trampling the rights of individual states.

I never thought I would call the 70s and 80s “the good old days”. I would cry tears of joy today to see just one campus overrun by a modern equivalent of the Students for a Democratic Society. I would cheer to see a general strike paralyze a city. It would be living proof that American character had not been submerged, drugged, weakened, and rendered anemic beyond revival.

My country is dead. Its people have surrendered to tyranny, and in so doing, they have become tyranny’s primary support group; its base constituency; its chief defender. Every day they offer their endorsement of tyranny by banking in its banks and spending their borrowed money with the corporations that run it. The great Neocon strategy of George H.W. Bush has triumphed.

Convince the American people that they can’t live without the “good things”, then sit back and watch as they endorse the progressively more outrageous crimes you commit as you throw them bones with ever-less meat on them. All the while, lock them into debt. Destroy the middle class, the only political base that need be feared. Make them accept, because of their own shared guilt, ever-more repressive police state measures.

Do whatever you want.

No amount of mind control spin can absolve any of us from acknowledging this ugly truth about the US and its crimes today. It lurks invisibly behind every corporate news broadcast, every commercially-made television show, every infomercial, every new magazine ad, and almost every new popular song that leads Americans deeper into ever-less-satisfying consumption, self-indulgence and debt. It stands grinning behind every report on the world’s rapacious financial markets and every new automobile, shampoo, or other product that promises to give the world larger and more potent sexual organs, bigger (more ridiculous) breasts, a better love life, and peace of mind.

My life has always been full of ironies. I believed that the United States could be changed from the inside. I do not believe that today. I believe it will take a herculean effort on the part of someone to fix this infestation of insane psychopaths on this planet. We need someone along the lines of Huey Long. No matter when it starts, it is going to be ugly. It will be a global conflict like no other with ½ of the earth’s population wiped out. These people will not give up their power and wealth easily, so prepare for the worst. In the end, WE THE PEOPLE will prevail because we are fighting for our lives while the Elite fight for their possessions. We must fight because we have nothing left to lose and it is better to fight and die than to live as slaves.

In my earlier life I had chosen not to die a martyr’s death, although I would change that decision today. As I am learning every day, there are more difficult and demanding ways to write the final chapters of one’s life. I would rather die a martyr’s death doing something good for humanity than to die when I am 85 only to look back and say “I could have done more to fix the problem, but I was too selfish”.

Like all humans I want to hold on to dreams for as long as possible, even long after I know they will never come true. I have tried and sacrificed with every fiber of my being to change my country, but the plain fact is that the United States of America cannot and will never be changed from within.

Today the United States is the cause of ever-expanding wars (covert and overt), carnage, suffering, and political and economic exploitation –- even within its own borders against its own people –- that fill our corporate-issued headlines and TV shows. The US economy, the privately-owned Federal Reserve system, and the government which they operate like a franchise are the greatest enemies of the entire human race and especially the rapidly- deteriorating and fragile ecosystem which supports all life. U.S. citizens are slowly discovering that they are not immune because of their nationality. On our planet today, what happens to one must inevitably happen to all people.

The US economy, driven by a fiat currency, fractional reserve banking, debt-based financing –- and “doped” with the billions of dollars of drug profits laundered through its corporations and banks –- is a superheated pyramid scheme of infinite growth wherein 5% of the world’s population consumes 25% of the world’s energy and a totally disproportionate share of the world’s diminishing resources and commodities.

If Americans are using 25% of the worlds energy and resources, SOMEBODY is going without in order for us to keep this up. Someone is getting shorted and I dare say it’s not really a fair shake.

In their silence and acquiescence Americans have voted – even if by abstention – to stand on the shoulders of all drowning peoples in the vain hope that they will somehow be saved from a paradigm which they support and empower by obeying it; by endorsing it with their silence or knowingly impotent protests; by refusing to throw themselves against the gears of the machine. In this world, a protest which is allowed by permit and encouraged, corralled into free-speech areas, and then policed by the ruling government only to be ignored by the media is, by definition, meaningless. Americans are free to vote, but rank near the bottom in voter turnout by world comparisons.

The US is a nation where the “non-negotiable” and unsustainable “American” way of life is propped up by global conflict, out-of-control military spending, massive and unsustainable debt, and an increasingly-aggressive fascist police state. It is a nation where all US citizens who do not resist and disconnect from this paradigm enjoy their ever-diminishing privileges with the guilty knowledge that somewhere else, hopefully in some “other” country, others are paying the price for it.

The world is now my country.

With the passage of time, the degree of corporate oppression, the outrageousness of the cruelty, and the absurdity of the lies can only increase as dwindling resources diminish and desperation erupts. Ironically, the disappearing American middle class will still cheer at each new millionaire success story, even if they quietly understand that a hundred or a thousand of their kind had to disappear to create it. They chase illusions of hope rather than the real possibility of justice and change like lottery players with a one-in-a-billion chance of winning. They prefer that to hard work and sacrifice with much better odds where almost everybody can win something.

As the human race enters the first stages of inevitable collapse resulting from cheap oil and never ending wars, it does so ass-backwards, in complete denial, and in the one way most certain to guarantee the greatest amount of suffering and death for future generations. It does so because, for a time at least, U.S. foreign, military, and economic policy holds the steering wheel of human destiny through dollar hegemony, military force, technology and globalization.

This control is inevitably weakening, and other hands in other countries are successfully struggling for an ever-increasing measure of influence. The Empire is dying from within, and like all wounded beasts, it is becoming more vicious and dangerous in the process; its lies more transparent.

A different world is possible. A better world is possible. It took the imminent threat of my own life to make me fully admit to my innermost self what I have known for years. I had to stop living in the problem and start living in the solution. If I did not, my soul would have died just as surely as my body would have died.

I do not know where I will spend the rest of my days. Maybe in Venezuela, in Bolivia, maybe in France, Germany, or even Russia. But because Venezuela has become the singular world leader in resisting US domination under the courageous, intelligent, and inspired leadership of Hugo Chavez, I want to begin the rest of my days there.

I lived in Venezuela about 14 years ago and still have friends there and contacts that I know quite well. I also have a lot of good memories of Colombia and lots of good friends there, as well as a great friend that still lives in Iran. I am not concerned about making a living, I will be just fine. People like me always find a way.

Being freer to speak, to learn, to experience and to witness real solutions being discovered and implemented by people willing to take risks and who understand the challenges, I will be better able to live my life the way I always envisioned it: Free, not having to answer to anyone, raising our son and watching him grow up and teaching him good things and to be a better person.

One thing is certain about fascism and that is its behavior and evolution are remarkably predictable. Fascism always becomes more vicious as it evolves. It never retreats, and as with drug addition, larger and larger doses of oppression and violence are always required to sustain its inevitable path towards self-destruction.

As the great Cynthia McKinney said not long before her just-orchestrated ouster from the House of Representatives, “any fool can see it coming.”

Those who know history are not destined to repeat it.

I was in the yard yesterday looking at my pecan trees and picking up limbs that had fallen to the ground. It was quiet until the crickets started getting loud, so I went to the shed and turned on the radio to listen to NPR.

The crickets win. NPR - what the fuck is this drivel? Why is everyone on NPR speaking with an English accent? I thought we threw those motherfuckers out of my country back in the 1700's. Apparently they're back.

Although obvious to me - the fakery that is the media in the US is blatantly and unashamedly "New World Order" appoved. It is nothing more than a bunch of clap-trap know-it-alls who know nothing blabbing about high-brow shit I don't care about. You know - like what the price of Earl Grey tea is in South Africa. And why "nation-building" has not shown a profit - but a horrible horrible loss to the citizens of America.

Errr....that's because it costs money to bomb and destroy a country and more money to build it back up again. You can see why the profit margin is so small in such an endeavor.

The fantasy is that they care about us. They really do. But nobody knows who "they" are since they are never here when you need help. They are writing laws to take away our right to bear arms - the only real connection with liberty any free population will ever have. We won't get into whether or not you pussy Americans have the guts to exercise that right. I doubt you will - Bristol Palin is on Dancing With the Stars tonight.....

What’s Stopping a Revolution?

What had happened to that rebellious Yankee spirit and the American mind? Could it have been the food that overstuffed and immobilized them?

The Pop-Tarts® and Egg McMuffins® washed down with Coke® for breakfast? The Baconator® Triple, The Whoppers®, The Big Macs®, the $5 Foot-Long Subs, the bucket-of-chicken and 32oz. Big Gulp®? Too many trips to the All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet or The Never Ending Pasta Bowl®? Or was it the Slurpees, tubs of ice cream, or boxes of donuts grabbed at the convenience store?

Could it have been the factory-farmed, battery-raised, hormone implanted, antibiotic-laced, pesticide sprayed, genetically modified beef, fish, chicken, eggs, dairy, vegetables, grains that were used in the highly processed, synthetic, ultra pasteurized, artificially sweetened, colored and flavored “product” passed off as food?

What drove a nation with a relatively well-off and well-educated population to inflict such suicidal behavior upon itself? It was easy to point to the poor for buying cheap and eating stupid. But what excused the smartest of the smart and the richest of the rich from buying cheap and eating stupid?

A case in point: celebrated for “powering his way through the day with a punishing Diet Coke regimen,” even Obama’s chief economic advisor – the always “brilliant” Larry Summers (who brilliantly jumped the sinking ship of state when his “brilliant” economic strategy to rescue America failed brilliantly) – was too stupid to eat smart.

A look around the cabinet, survey of Capital Hill, AMA, ABA, PTA or powwow of American Indian chiefs proved he was not alone. America had become one big “Mike & Molly” sitcom. Yet, even though just about everybody knew better, just about everybody made the same excuse for abusing the body and deadening the mind: it was cheap and/or it was convenient.

Sure, money was tight and time was precious, but plenty of people were still going to the malls and spending big on hi-tech, high-end running shoes, taking vacations, eating out and buying new cars. Even low-end shoppers at Dollar Stores – while saving a buck – were filling their carts with junk snacks, junk soft drinks and junk “Made in China” bric-a-brac.

Or was it something in the polluted air and fluoride-treated water that deadened individual pride, courage, passion and self respect? Could it have been the quadzillions of tons of chemical mix poisoning the planet that made everyone susceptible?

Or could it have been the medicine chests full of Lipitor®, Oxycontin®, Xanax®, Celebrex®, Paxil® … or the Ritalin® force-fed to kids and gobbled down like M&Ms® that deadened heir minds or whacked them out? Whether prescribed indiscriminately as quick fix, symptom-relief solutions by legal “pushers” (a.k.a. doctors) or unwittingly washed down with a glass of municipally doctored “pharma-water,” voluntarily or involuntarily, a large segment of the populace was doing drugs.

Or was it the “food for thought”? Could it have been the mind-numbing news served 24/7 by networks, cable and radio? All those know-it-alls – anchors, big mouths, blow-hards, clowns, pundits, experts, strategists, think tank wankers – telling audiences what to think, how to think and what to believe?

Food, pharmaceuticals, movies, music, TV, literature, art, fashion – down the line, across the board, from top to bottom, every sector was monopolized by the unholy trinity of Big Government, Big Business and Big Media.

The “American Century” – an age of opportunity characterized by the entrepreneur – had passed into history. America had been corporatized, homogenized, dumbed down and chained to the chains … and by the chains … restaurant chains, retail chains, movie chains, funeral home chains, auto-parts chains. They had cornered the market on everything they could get their hands on: tires, eye glasses, mufflers, dental care, banks, brokerages, drug stores, hardware, pet supplies.

In the end, we were just too stupid to get out of our own way.

Not to worry, we will be pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan real soon I hear.

More than half a century after World War II and the Korean War we still have 268 bases in Germany, 124 in Japan, and 87 in South Korea.

By 2009, the number of American bases outside of the USA had increased to over 1000 bases in 135 countries.

The problem with the whole scheme is that hundreds of these military bases are located in areas that are not war zones, and their sole function is to assure America’s "interests" in a particular area. You know, interests like keeping the $$$ as the world reserve currency so we can continue to live in a "freedom-filled" country.

Don't worry folks, this whole thing is almost over. Delusional morons are still pumping money into the stock market hoping to get rich. They won't.

It seems the American middle class was sold a false bill of goods. They bought the Big Lie that globalization would benefit them. They bought into the delusion that even though their high paying manufacturing jobs sailed away to China and India, they could maintain their lifestyle through brain work, easy credit, cheap goods made in China by the people who took their jobs, and the ever increasing value of their homes.

How has that worked out for us? It hasn't.

Based on all available evidence, it seems the American public wants to be misled. They have chosen ignorance over knowledge and understanding. They want to believe their corrupt leaders. They want to believe that things always work out in the long run. They want to believe that the economy is about to get better. They don’t want to think about unsustainable debt, unfunded liabilities, saving for retirement, or Simon Cowell leaving American Idol.

Americans desperately want to be deluded into another bubble, but there are no evident bubbles left to blow. The existing American delusion is that the current fiscal path will not lead to the utter destruction of our once great Republic. It will.

America resembles a 40 year old aging baseball icon with two bad knees, a pot belly, receding hairline and delusions that he is still the ball player he was at 24. He doesn’t realize that his skills are shot, as he flails at curveballs in the dirt thrown by 21 year old kids. The rest of the league knows he is washed up, but he refuses to accept reality. America isn’t even running on fumes at this point. It is running on delusions.

The American herd has gone mad. A few people have regained their senses, but the vast majority still exhibits the behavior of sheep being led to slaughter. The ruling oligarchs have utter contempt for the average American, but they fear the masses. In order to retain their power and wealth, they gladly hand out two years of unemployment payments, food stamps, and welfare payments to keep the masses sedated. The working middle class foots the bill. Again.

The den of vipers and thieves have shit on the Constitution, speculated with the country’s funds, risked blowing up the financial system, committed fraud on a massive scale, and continue to rape and pillage the American citizens. Vincible ignorance by the American people is no longer a legitimate excuse.

My investment advice is simple: Bullets, canned food, a bug-out plan and fishing supplies.

American's aren't stupid? The once greatest country in history has went down in flames in less than 100 years. It wasn't a fucking accident.

If you write a book about Obama being an anti-Semite and you don't have enough sense to look up how many Jews Obama has in his administration (41 Jews actually), YOU need to be stoned to death.

The expose on how Obama treats Islam, Jews/Israel and Christianity is one of the best parts of the book. While president, Obama has been quietly promoting Islam using the government in a way that would have the ACLU screaming if it was Christianity instead. (p.189) Obama has promoted Islam much more than any previous president ever promoted Christianity, but it is all flying under the mainstream media's radar.

Obama has developed an unsettling pattern of putting pressure upon and supporting laws that target Jews while benefiting radical Islam. He does not treat the two fairly, although he's been able to fool liberal American Jews like Sarah Silverman who cheerfully promote him. His associates and benefactors include many with ties to anti-Semitism. (p. 82) There are so many examples of Obama's disparate treatment documented in the book one wonders why Obama has not been labeled as anti-Semitic.

I would hate to see if Obama liked Jews. He might have 100 of them working for him.

He has strayed from the Bush administration's hardline position on Iran and avoids taking sides in Iran. (p. 143) He has naively agreed to unilateral talks with Iran and set a deadline for our U.S. troops to leave both Iraq and Afghanistan. This is foolish since there will be no way of determining whether or not we are successful when we leave.

Really? Have we left Germany yet? How about Japan, we still have bases there? How about Korea, are we still there? Out of Afghanistan yet? How about Iraq? We still have a base in Cuba after all these years? Newsflash: If you still have not vacated the area 60 years after the war is over, you were not successful.

The next most fascinating part of the book is the mass of evidence the writers have collected confirming that Obama is a socialist. So many pundits on the right are afraid to label Obama a socialist, concerned they may be viewed as fringe. The vast amount of information provided in this book provides ample ammo for anyone who needs to defend that assertion.

This is hilarious. Obama has not seized a single bank or corporation and had the govt run them but rather gave them bailout money. This is a Fascist govt if anything, but not Socialist.

No wonder Obama was so eager to meet and hug Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. Chavez took over all the media in Venezuela.

OH MY GAWD!!! He hugged Chavez, that proves it! He is a Socialist!!! I wish someone would seize the media here and shut that shit off.

Obama has surrounded himself and his administration with numerous socialists and Muslim sympathizers who have disturbing ties to terrorism and Islamic extremism. Some, like the socialist black radical Van Jones, have been exposed and forced to resign from the administration. Others like Carol Browner, appointed as global warming czar, have been able to quietly distance themselves from their socialist ties. Browner was a leader of the Socialist International Commission for a Sustainable World Society, but resigned right before Obama appointed her.

The only reason they name these two people is that they are the only two who are NOT Jewish in Obama's Admin.

BP has been lying the whole time

I had a bad feeling that with the amount of coverup from BP, somebody was hiding something. BP had a lot of trouble with the 1st well they drilled on Feb 3rd. They tried to drill too fast which caused the rocks to fracture and lost the drill pipe and tools into the hole.

They were unable to seal large cracks at the base of the well for ten days.

BP informed the U.S. Minerals Management Service Dept. of the Interior on 2/13/10 that the cracks were causing uncontrollable bursts of natural gas and they filed a permit to abandon the well immediately.

President Obama was notified of the well situation on February 13, 2010. Keep in mind that the problems with well #A were serious enough to notify the President after 10 days of trying to cap it.

Keep in mind, the big explosion happened on April 20th.

Then I watched the 60 Minutes interview. At 4:57 the interviewer says "And that well was abandoned" (after drilling too fast had fractured rock).

Then they started drilling on well #B, the 2nd well. That was the one that blew up the Deep Water Horizon Rig April 20th.

I think the media stunt of capping the well was done to the remains of the first well, not the major leak at the Deepwater Horizon site.

It appears the SKANDI NEPTUNE, which has been showing images of the "new cap for the BOP" was at the location of the FIRST well that blew, and NOT the second well (that destroyed the rig).

I think that we have been sold a dog and pony show.

Skandi 1 is cruising around admiring the BOP on the first old abandoned "Well A". There was no BOP on well #B, just the riser pipe.

During the live footage of BP placing the new cap on the well, Skandi 1 was at Well A coordinates and the capped BOP was on the live screen.

The wells are about .06 miles apart and the ships and rovers are all GPS tracked with up to the minute live updates on their locations.

As far as BP is concerned, the fine stopped as soon as they capped the well. Which is why I think they capped the WRONG WELL on purpose. Remember the "Leaning Wellhead" a few weeks ago? That was the original abandoned wellhead that they fractured the rock formation while drilling. That is also why it was leaning.

Could it be that the reason we haven't seen ROV feeds of the Deep Water Horizon wreckage is because it's laying on the gusher BP don't want us to see?

BP is not getting fined for the oil leaking through the sea floor because it is not being measured and to be frank there is no way to measure it.

I think the live feeds were from the well that blew on February 13th and the one that blew on April 20th is now just a hole in the ground with oil still leaking that they don't want to admit or show us. They are praying that the relief wells work or there really isn't a way to stop the oil.

They drilled site A and it either blew out -"they almost blew up the rig" or created a situation that required a shut down. So, in that situation did they abandon the well or did it blow out but the rig was saved?

Did they lose the pipe between the rig and the BOP with a emergency detach? Is site A what we see now where we saw a cut riser and an intact BOP? Is the real problem where the Deep Water Horizon was drilling Site B - either a relief well for site A or another failed attempt to access one of the richest oil/gas fields on this planet resulting in a blowout of both wells?

This also explains perfectly why weeks before the rig sank, Goldman Sachs, BP CEO Tony Hayward sold 40% of their BP stock. They already had a massive leak and if they knew Deepwater would sink, they probably would have sold all of their stock.

Welcome to Hell: An open letter to Mr. Clint Guidry of South Louisiana

Dear Mr. Guidry:

I read with deep distress “Hell has come to South Louisiana,” your lament for your beloved land, now devastated by the BP oil spill. All of us who are human must feel your loss and pain deeply -- and so do I. But I wish at the same time to put that Hell of which you speak, into some kind of context for you -- perhaps to place it within a context wherein you may not have heard it placed before. This letter, and its message, is not for you alone -- it might well be written to any ordinary citizen now feeling the first pangs of the hell that was inevitable with the march of the neoliberal juggernaut. It is a letter of pain, of fellow-feeling, and above all, as hinted above, of welcome. Welcome to the world of those who suffer.

This letter, Mr. Guidry, is not essentially a letter of criticism. If I had to describe its essence, its true message, I’d say this is a love-letter. And a letter of invitation to fellow feeling, to mutual knowledge and understanding. For at the heart of all true love lies fellow feeling. We can only love those whom we see as neighbors, never those whom we perceive as alien, as other.

This letter is sent as a wake-up call to all the Americans who are now feeling -- and rightfully so -- shafted by a system that has already cut large swaths of devastation in the world outside the U.S. (Yes, contrary to what many Americans think, there is a world outside the U.S.) Americans who are now losing their jobs, their healthcare, their futures -- and in the case of Louisiana, their entire environments and livelihoods, have one overwhelming reaction -- incredulity. We are surprised, for instance, that hell should have come to South Louisiana. We understand when other nations struggle with high unemployment, food riots, chronic poverty, appalling rates of child malnutrition. That’s them. Those poor, benighted, backward nations. (Underneath is the unspoken assumption: it’s their own damn fault for not managing their affairs better).

But us? This can’t be happening to us. Why, we’re good people. We are a nation that always strives for the greater good of others, are we not? So then how can such a fate, so easy to accept when it happens to others, befall us? We are immune; they are mortal.

So we thought, until the Götterdämmerung.

But there’s no real cause for surprise. For this system of rampant capitalism and its neoliberal avatar of globalization of profits are at the heart of the hell that has come to Louisiana.

What’s surprising, really, is that it took so long.

For Hell has taken its time getting to Louisiana, Mr. Guidry. Hell had an itinerary. It stopped off at a few places first: Iran. The Philippines. Haiti. Guatemala. Greece. East Timor. Indonesia. Ghana.

I could name many more -- and will eventually do so -- but let us for now be content with these few. These countries, Mr. Guidry, have not only had hell come to them -- they’ve been devoured whole by those infernal flames, burned and charred and roasted in the fires lit and relit by this very country -- the United States of America and its assorted allies both national and transnational. When these fires were raging, and their victims screaming for international attention, for help, for succor, how many people in the U.S. cared what their country was doing to poor people -- sometimes thousands of miles away, and at others in their very “backyard”?

How many in Louisiana cared?

Did you, Mr. Guidry?

Did anyone you know?

At this moment of crisis in your life and in the life of your community, when everything you lived for and lived with and lived by has been irrevocably scarred by the fires of this “hell” of which you speak so truthfully, so poignantly, with such a sense of personal loss and suffering, you could use above all the solidarity and understanding of other scarred peoples.

But just as you would expect them to show some awareness of your plight, so might they expect you to display some knowledge of, and empathy with, theirs.

Do you have that knowledge? Do you want it? Want it or no, you surely need it, for no struggle takes place in a vacuum; no resistance can effect real change without the knowledge of how it connects with other struggles.

It’s time to think globally. Only thus can you resist the global tentacles that now have their death-grip on your corner of coastal Louisiana; only thus can you extinguish the hell in which you now burn.

It’s time for your community to know that others -- not in the USA, but nonetheless as human as you, as prick-able and bleed-able, for all that they are mostly black and brown, have also suffered -- excruciatingly, silently, outside the USA, but because of the USA -- suffered in their hundreds, in their thousands, in their millions.

Louisiana is only the latest stop for this train with its cargo of hell, driven by the corporatocracy, the military-industrial complex; call it what you will. Here are some of the other places where this hell-train has made prolonged, brutal, even genocidal stops, where the fires it lit are still extant, now ablaze, now smoldering, now leaping up afresh -- all of which fires could not have enjoyed such, long, healthy lives, nor their victims such long, tortuous, exquisite agonies of torment -- had it not been for this very country, the United States, that has for decades exploited, oppressed, tortured, killed, by every foul means possible and with the unhesitating deployment of the vilest of instruments and compradors, the wretched of country after country -- in fact, any group or community that displayed that strange notion so unpalatable to empires everywhere, that a people are entitled to dictate the terms of their own destinies.

Now the Empire has returned to its roots, Mr. Guidry; that is all. The pattern of its abominations is unchanged; the places and identities of the victims change, but the hell that they face remains similar, for the perpetrator -- the neoliberal system, with its military and economic headquarters in the United States -- is the same.

Hell has indeed come to South Louisiana, Mr. Guidry.

Hell has come home.

Now for a few more names: Vietnam. Laos. Cambodia. Guatemala. Honduras. Nicaragua. Iraq. Afghanistan. Pakistan.

It is a merry old train, is it not? It sure gets around.

Let us take the name at the top of the list, first. It is likely to be the name most familiar to you, for you have identified yourself as a Vietnam Veteran, without a trace of shame or embarrassment, as though serving in a completely unjustified, criminal war of imperialist aggression against a people far poorer than your own is a virtue. As though that service differs in any material sense from a terrorist act against an unoffending and completely innocent target. As though, to draw an obvious parallel, BP Chief Tony Hayward should be proud of his actions in the Gulf -- for has he not served his company and fattened its bottom-line to the best of his ability? And is not Tony Hayward therefore an honourable man?

But wait, you say, with rising indignation. How dare you, you say, compare my honourable service to my country to the repulsive, inhuman actions of a Tony Hayward? Well, look at it this way, Mr. Guidry. The actions of U.S. military personnel in Vietnam were the actions of state terrorists against people who had no intention whatever of causing any harm to this country or to its people. Incredible as it may seem, little, powerless countries are as reluctant to challenge the big, armed-to-the-teeth, bloody-to-the-elbows superpower as the shivering, runty kid might be to take on the hulking schoolyard bully.

The Vietnam war was not a “mistake.” It was an act of international terrorism, perpetrated overwhelmingly against a civilian population. When you participated in it, you may have thought you were serving your country.

You were not.

What you were doing was acting as a tool for the largest and most lethal terrorist state in the modern world against a small nation whose dwellers were utterly helpless in the face of the hell -- that word again! -- unleashed upon them with unbridled savagery by the United States of America.

And the destruction was not limited to human life -- not limited to the 11 oil-rig workers you so rightly mourn. Millions of Vietnamese perished. Millions more were maimed, millions more were born deformed. The hopes, the lives, the prospects of millions, young children, old women, the sick, the infirm were utterly and irrevocably destroyed.

Just as is happening to you now -- with this difference. You have lost 11 people forever.

They, Mr. Guidry, lost nearly all they had.

And the destruction, as in Louisiana, was not limited to human life alone. The United States used, and reused, horrifying chemical weapons of mass destruction upon the hapless Indo-Chinese. Thanks to those weapons, hell still stalks the lands of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. As they likely will in the Gulf States, people there have continued to suffer for decades, right up until the present day, with birth deformities, cancers, and death or mutilation by unexploded “bomblets” -- cute word, is it not? -- like something cuddly and attractive, meant for children? Well, children are precisely whom they do attract. The kids, stumbling in their play across these curious little objects, mistake them for toys, and pick them up. Then -- the usual danse macabre -- shredded guts, flying limbs, sightless, burned-out eyes. Yearly hundreds, at lowest count, of children are killed or wounded by these little toys of death. The higher -- and probably more accurate -- estimates run into the tens of thousands. A year.

Why do I tell you all this? you will say. Indeed, what have you to do with all the U.S.-supported dictators crushing their captive subjects, the death squads spreading terror through farming villages populated by brown and black-skinned folk, the “free trade” agreements that make economic prisoners of entire nations, sending them begging for handouts from the IMF and the World Bank, with the millions displaced in Iraq and Afghanistan and Pakistan, with the hundreds incinerated by Hellfire missiles and unmanned drones, in countries where you’ve never been?

Well, that’s a perfectly legitimate question and -- as with my argument in its entirety -- has a rather straightforward answer.

Sir, the oppressed people of these countries -- the people that your leaders have kept in hell, in your name and by means of the silence or indifference of U.S citizens -- are your brothers and sisters.

The Muslim men rotting without trial in Guantánamo are your brothers. Yours and mine.

The “illegal” Latinos who, driven by poverty resulting from our “free-trade” agreements with them, make their way across the border to our country, to pick our fruit and mow our lawns and scour our toilets, are your brothers and sisters. Yours and mine.

The Ghanaian children who toil to make most of the chocolate that Americans consume, are your children. Yours and mine.

The Afghans whose wedding songs are turned into funeral dirges by unmanned U.S. drones, are your brothers and sisters. Yours and mine.

Our fellow-sufferers.

Our siblings in misery and humanity, and -- if we wish -- in struggle and resistance.

And the transnational corporate and military machine that grinds them relentlessly, is the same one, Mr. Guidry, that now laps viciously, uglily -- but inevitably, given the nature of the beast -- at the shores of your Louisiana home. These people, too, see their human rights decimated, the protections to which they are entitled removed, and their social safety nets unraveled, by the same relentless pursuit of profit that now deprives the Louisianans working for BP and those affected by the spill of their rights. For when profits trump safety measures, as, in a capitalist-driven system, they always will, this oil spill was just a matter of time.

If you have not heeded their cries before, for the sake of all that you love, heed them now. They are crushed under the same heel that now grinds you down. In the quest for control of their resources, in the deathly determination of the “free market” to have a captive consumer base, they and theirs have been sacrificed in the same way as your community is now being sacrificed.

Do you take pride in your service in Vietnam? Your pride is misplaced, and in as abysmal taste to any Vietnamese as a BP minion’s pride in having served his company faithfully by screwing over the people of Louisiana.

Do you, as many ordinary American citizens do, oppose the war(s) but “support the troops”? Such support is akin to supporting terrorists while at the same time opposing terror. If you would indeed show solidarity with the vast human family of suffering people whose ranks you have now unwillingly joined, please understand that going to war against people even poorer and more unfortunate than yourself is not to express solidarity with them. Tell this truth to all in your community; demand that the troops return, that they refuse to serve as killing machines for criminal wars. Acknowledge that the “hell” that has come to Louisiana is the latest -- merely the latest -- in a long series of infinitely more brutal hells that have consumed country after country, and encircled, many times over, the entire globe.

Think how strong will be your voice when it joins with millions of other voices -- black, brown, white, Muslim, Christian, Hindu -- all declaring with joy and determination that another world is possible. Extend but once the hand of friendship and apology to a Vietnamese, a Chilean, an Afghan who has suffered as you have suffered, and you will find that forgiveness and reconciliation will not be long withheld. Say but once: “Forgive me, sister, for my part in what my country has done to you,” and mean it - and you will see your cause immeasurably strengthened, your voice magnified, blending with the roar, pulsing with the rhythm of that strongest and most enduring of all voices: the voice of suffering and struggling humanity.

You are not alone. Stretch out that hand.

The world awaits you.

Admitting you are wrong

Admitting you are wrong is associated with resourcefulness. Low
self-esteem makes a person less resourceful and prone to being addicted
to being right. A person who is able to admit being wrong is more
resourceful because he believes he has the right to develop new
capabilities.

Admitting you are wrong breeds an environment of tolerance. I've been
wrong enough to know that everyone else is capable of making mistakes
too. We all do. Admitting to being wrong creates an environment of
tolerance, not just personal tolerance, but tolerance of others.

Admitting you are wrong creates open-mindedness. By that I mean a more
willing environment for your opinions to be reviewed. This is extremely
important if you are in search of the truth. Open-mindedness is an
essential ingredient to discovering the truth.

Admitting you are wrong will help point out where you sound stupid. This
may not be a high priority on the list of things sought for by someone
who is addicted to being right, but as one becomes more mature it is
important to know where you sound like a fool and how to correct it.

Addicted to being right sounds fairly lame to people who are interested
in truth and high ideals so you may as well figure out early on in life
where you sound stupid. Why wait to correct that?

Lastly it is important to admit you are wrong and then listen. Learning to
listen after admitting you are wrong is a powerful way to get a fine
education.

It is your duty to search for truth. It is everyone's responsibility to seek what is right
and just. Being mature enough to admit that you are wrong lends dignity to you. It also
insures that you will remain open minded about life.

The idea of “cognitive dissonance,” is that when the strongly held beliefs of a group
or individual are in direct conflict with obvious reality, this creates discomfort and there
is a tendency to unconsciously rationalize the original belief, even to the point of being
ridiculous.

Change, even when beneficial, can often be strongly resisted. People and societies
will often unconsciously choose to be miserable rather than proven “wrong.”

Although self-examination is not always easy, the cost of remaining stuck is usually higher.

Positive attitudes

Those who fail to exhibit positive attitudes, no matter the external reality, are seen as maladjusted and in need of assistance. Their attitudes need correction. Once we adopt an upbeat vision of reality, positive things will happen. This belief encourages us to flee from reality when reality does not elicit positive feelings. These specialists in "happiness" have formulated something they call the "Law of Attraction." It argues that we attract those things in life, whether it is money, relationships or employment, which we focus on. Suddenly, abused and battered wives or children, the unemployed, the depressed and mentally ill, the illiterate, the lonely, those grieving for lost loved ones, those crushed by poverty, the terminally ill, those fighting with addictions, those suffering from trauma, those trapped in menial and poorly paid jobs, those whose homes are in foreclosure or who are filing for bankruptcy because they cannot pay their medical bills, are to blame for their negativity. The ideology justifies the cruelty of unfettered capitalism, shifting the blame from the power elite to those they oppress. And many of us have internalized this pernicious message, which in times of difficulty leads to personal despair, passivity and disillusionment.

This flight into the collective self-delusion of corporate ideology, especially as we undergo financial collapse and the pillaging of the U.S. treasury by corporations, is no more helpful in solving our problems than alchemy. But there are university departments and reams of pseudoscientific scholarship to give an academic patina to the fantasy of happiness and success through positive thinking. The message that we can have everything we want if we dig deep enough inside ourselves, if we truly believe we are exceptional, is pumped out daily over the airwaves in advertisements, through the plot and story lines of television programs and films, and bolstered by the sickeningly cheerful and upbeat banter of well-groomed television hosts. This is the twisted ideological lens through which we view the world.

This ideology condemns all social critics, iconoclasts, dissidents and individualists, for failing to seek fulfillment in the collective chant of the corporate herd. It strangles creativity and moral autonomy. It is about being molded and shaped into a compliant and repressed collective. It is not, at its core, about happiness. It is about conformity, a conformity that all totalitarian and authoritarian structures seek to impose on the crowd. Its unrealistic promise of happiness, in fact, probably produces more internal anxiety and feelings of inadequacy than genuine happiness. There are no gross injustices, no abuses to question, no economic systems to challenge in the land of happy thoughts. In the land of happy thoughts we are to blame if things go wrong. The corporate state, we are assured, is beneficent and good. It will make us happy and comfortable and prosperous even as it funnels billions of taxpayer dollars into its bank accounts. Mao and Stalin used the same language of harmony and strength through the collective, the same love of spectacles and slogans, the same coercive power of groups and state propaganda, to enslave and impoverish millions of their citizens.

I did not write the following rant, but I thought it was good enough to post here. If I were writing it, I would not use so much profanity but like I mentioned, I didn't write it.

First of all.....when 28% of you brain dead fucking morons give a blithering IDIOT like Sarah Palin positive approval ratings and think she ought to run for president in 2012, it really makes me sick to know I am lumbered with that many mouth-breathing Cro-Magnons I unfortunately have to consider as my fellow countrymen....trust me.....I don't. You motherfuckers are beyond help.

And before you go thinking this is a "liberal" based rant.....that brings me to one more item on an ever-lengthening list.

This "Liberal" versus "Conservative" paradigm that so many of you simple dunces buy into.....as BOTH parties sell you out to the multinational corporations, banks and special interests that actually run Washington D.C.).....you do this STUPID dance every day, blithely detached from the reality that YOU YOURSELF are helping to DIVIDE AND CONQUER the nation, as you myopically beat your little Hannity/Olberman drum of FUTILE self -righteous indignation. PATHETIC.

THIS is a nation of PUSSIES AND FUCKING COWARDS. The country is in flames. Everyone is pointing fingers, and 95 percent of the nation’s people are going down. Homes, private property, bank accounts, investments, retirement, automobiles, quality food, health, education, and faith in their fellow man are sinking like stones thrown into Galveston Bay. We say goodbye to what was a magnificent attempt to govern with a moral combination of faith, order, liberty, and freedom which, in the final analysis, required the people, themselves, to govern.

It didn’t happen — the people didn’t want the job.

We blame the democrats, we blame the republicans, we blame the housing market, we blame imported oil — fools that we are. We were given a governing structure, we were told that would be hard to keep, and that people, in order to remain free, were required to be the governing and responsible parties to ensure liberty and freedom for all. We didn’t want the job. So, once again, human history repeats its constant pattern of constant theft. Government, once more, takes everything from everyone and again recreates the slave-based economy of power and force over most.

We blame the industrial mobs, we blame the central banking cartel, we blame the politicians, we blame their system, we blame the ignorant rabble, preferring their entertainments and addictions to freedom and liberty.

Are you still watching your sit-coms and reality shows? Did your Idol win, and is your cable TV still operational even though you have no job and cannot afford to drive, license, or insure your automobile? Freedom is free will. It was given by God to all mankind in order that he might choose the course of his physical and spiritual life. If you don't want it….well….there you go. If you need to dominate others, you are typically cruel. If you choose digital/biometric convenience and mind-numbing entertainment to self-determination and privacy, and you prefer being filmed, tracked, observed, over-heard, and treated like a test animal...be a test animal. However, don't come crying for help when you were perfectly willing to let my freedom go down the drain. Keep that in mind, ladies and gentlemen. Freedom is not a shopper's saving card, nor is it to be ignored for convenience or safety's sake.

Mankind is pathologically cruel, devious, and profoundly stupid as a rule. Trouble is, it is the pathologically cruel who are history's constant winners. Facts are facts.

Faith is not weakness. Faith is mankind's hope for truth. Aren't you so very tired of all the daily lies in your lives - personal and global? Here is reality, folks: any group of people - no matter how rich or politically or economically motivated - who attempt to drug mankind into submission while stealing everything he has under the guise of high crimes and misdemeanor crises and call it moral authority or a paradigm shift or a civil society or a new religion is sick -- really sick -- AND we have recently witnessed the 20th Century where estimates of 100,000,000 people were slaughtered by the same social pathology. Let us never forget the numbers of people who lost their lives beneath the very same system. THERE HAS BEEN NO SHIFT IN POWER.

The 21st Century version is just dolled up in Communitarian nature magic, but comprising the same political intent. If you think for five seconds that mankind has suddenly transformed from 20th Century barbarian to 21st Century utopian gods of goodness and nature BECAUSE THE VERY SAME POWER STRUCTURE SAYS SO, you are a freak show.

Catholic church scam

That’s all the church is. They are a giant for-profit company using predatory salesmanship to sell what they themselves know is a defective, outmoded, basically unnecessary product. They’ll use any means necessary to keep their market share and if they have to lie and cheat and deflect and point fingers to keep the racket going, they’ll do it, just like any other sleazeball company.

But I think it’s time we started considering that what the church is is even worse than that. It’s possible we should start wondering if the church is also a criminal organization that in this country, anyway, should be broken up using RICO statutes.

Just as it refuses to change its insane and criminal stance on birth control and condoms, the church refuses to change its horrifically cruel policy about priestly celibacy. That’s because it quite correctly perceives that should it begin to dispense with the irrational precepts of its belief system, it would lose its appeal as an ancient purveyor of magical-mystery bullshit and become just a bigger, better-financed, and infinitely more depressing version of a Tony Robbins self-help program.

Therefore it must cling to its miserable celibacy in order to keep its sordid business scheme going; and if clinging to its miserable celibacy means having to look the other way while deaf children are serially molested by its sexually stunted and tortured employees, well, so be it.

If you look at it that way, the church’s institutional behavior is far worse than is commonly believed. It’s not just a matter of an intractable bureaucracy responding too slowly or too insensitively to some scattered accidents of fate. This is more like the situation of a car company that continues selling a cheap but faulty brake system because it has calculated that it stands to make more money selling the cars than it does to lose in lawsuits. The only difference is, a car company can fix the brakes if it wants to. What the Catholic church is selling is by definition faulty. It can’t change, or it will be out of business. So even if not changing means kids will be continue to be molested, it doesn’t change.

I think Chris Hitchens said this once, and I agree with him; if I were a person that made that kind of moral choice, I think I’d have to kill myself. But these guys not only don’t kill themselves, they go out in public ranting about how wronged they are and how they’ve been fucked over by the evil New York Times for airing out their dirty laundry. Again, I admire the balls, but seriously, they must know the game is almost up.

Sooner or later people are going to catch on, the state is going to make a move, and there’s going to be a hell of a lot of church property going up for auction along with the seized Escalades of DEA-busted drug dealers. Or maybe not in this lifetime — but one can only hope.

Tea Party Stupidity & Insanity

Do these people realize what they are doing? I don't think so. They went from being cable TV watching sheeple to sheeple holding signs outdoors.

First and foremost, most of these "tea parties" are protests about how the government is spending/wasting the money rather than a protest about the government taking it from them in the first place. They aren't calling for a repeal of the income tax (while also not advocating a replacement), nor are they calling for the end of the FED. Fools.

Aside from the fact that they are ideologically self-fucked, their methods and tactics are seriously flawed. Not just flawed, but completely, totally and utterly ineffective and so much so, that the only positive that can come from their efforts is perhaps getting a sun tan.

Protesting for one's rights or money is better viewed as BEGGING FOR RIGHTS/MONEY. That's correct. When you hit the streets with a sign, you are begging a entity (government) to give back to you what they've taken without your consent and most often by force. You are a beggar. You are not challenger of any kind. You hold a lower status.

Can anyone here educate me at all with a single instance in the history of Mankind where begging for rights actually succeeded? Where the ruling entity genuinely submitted to the people's demands for no other reason but the demands themselves? You know, none of this Gandhi crap where Britain was effectively collapsing and on the way out anyway. I mean genuine the-people-ask, the-government-complies. I don't think anyone here can. But many of you guys are very smart, so I'm hopeful I can be proved wrong and I can learn something.

I enjoy studying economics, history, the sciences. I realize there are certain truths to this world and there are certain things that are laws of nature and almost laws of human behavior/interaction. I wonder, what do these sign-waving people have in terms of negotiation power? Where is their leverage? Do they have anything at all? What do they bring to the table? What can they say or do that can demand at least a response from those they petition?

They don't have shit! Nothing. And like nothing, they will get nothing.

It's sad in a way. They have energy. They even have the quality of actually getting up off the couch and doing something. Unfortunately, they have no direction and are involved in a futile practice.

The great irony here is the very name of these events. "Tea Parties" ...HAHA! Do they realize that the Boston Tea Party was not a bunch of idiots begging and crying to their government masters? But that was a group of patriots who took actual physical action against the interests of those who oppressed them?

It makes me sick to my stomach to hear time and time again most people emphatically and dogmatically state that the only path, the only way, the right way, the best way, the moral way etc etc TO change things is through peaceful protest or peaceful-non-compliance.

What a load of shit.

Again, can anyone here cite a single instance where peaceful protest succeeded at achieving genuine change (for the real best interests of the people)? I don't think it has ever happened.

Is this public school and media indoctrination? Or are they just cowards and cannot call for what really needs to be done because it will be sedition or terrorism?

Reminds me of that saying that goes around here, "If voting actually worked, it would have been outlawed" ..there's much truth to that. You see, the moment you do something truly effective - they will murder you or imprison you. Or at least try to. If you protest out in the streets, if you run a website, if you get out the vote, if you preach and preach and you're A. Alive B. Not in prison, then you can rest assured that your methods are completely, totally and utterly ineffective at changing anything. You're safe because those in power are not threatened by you. It's that simple.

It's unbelievable how people cannot think straight. Before I begin on the next part, I will say this plainly. I believe, with complete certainty, that the foundation of America was a good thing and based on good principles. And that all the MEANS by which it was founded were right and just and still are to this day.

The founders of this nation did not start the revolution and move toward independence. They materialized it. It is something that grew for decades. During those many years, the founders and their predecessors tried every single means toward reform. They petitioned, they begged. They did not one day just up and decide to start shooting Redcoats. They tried it all. And it ALL FAILED. It failed like it always fails.

It always fails because the master or ruling entity has no reason whatsoever to negotiate or accommodate the weak. There's no incentive either. Today, the IRS has no incentive at all for working with the people on paying taxes. They don't need to think in those terms. They get the money regardless and by force. Likewise, socialism promotes sloth and rot because there's no incentive to excel. The money is coming regardless.

Take a good look at what the Federal government did to the peaceful Bonus Army! These people were not violent. These people had serious and just claims. They weren't even asking for their rights or to challenge the authority of the government! And take a good look at how the government dealt with that.

American history is full of these instances. But there are also instances of genuine reform and change. The Battle of Athens, Tennessee is a perfect example. A story the Federal government doesn't want you to know about. Might give you ideas!

How about the Chinese at Tienanmen Square? Most people have no clue about the extent of what happened there. The massive slaughter. That was the greatest display and the ultimate final defeat of peaceful protest. The Chinese are brave people. Even after a full day of being shot and bayoneted. Large numbers of Chinese would interlock arms and form a line to block the progress of the PLA, and the would still get shot to pieces. People who watched their fellow citizens die all day long continued in this path because they believed their cause was worth it. They believed that their own countrymen, the soldiers of the PLA, would eventually crack and breakdown at the sight of this relentless, completely passive peaceful resistance. You'd think that if you held your ground, and worked it to its logical conclusion, that the tyrants would be defeated since they are powerless without their people. If they kill everyone, they will have no one to rule. That if you accept the slaughter, if you take the slaps to the face and the beatings and continue, that the tyrant will be forced to realize that it doesn't work.

This is flawed for a number of reasons. The main reason is that it is based on an assumption that government primarily used fear as weapon. This method of accepting abuse in a show of defiance as a means to eliminate the fear-mechanism of government simply doesn't work because the government uses fear when they can, but when that fails they murder and they murder as many as they can until they succeed. Also, the notion that full unity can be achieved is MYTHICAL.

In every revolutionary movement in history, including America's, the patriots were a minority and "life goes on" regardless. There's no such thing as an end to humanity or society, and therefore, there is no such thing as a threat to "stop it all" in a unified idealistic mass non-compliance movement. Also, the brutality of even your own countrymen is always underestimated. This is nothing new. Absolutely horrific acts were committed during the American Revolution by the British and by the Patriots. Neighbors killed neighbors. There were also mass killings. People who were ethnically, culturally identical. Who are the same people, the same countrymen essentially slaughtered one another and the government never shows any restraint at all. There's no limit to what they will do.

In the end, the Chinese were slaughtered. Over and over and over. To prevent further unrest, the government pacified the people with false reforms and they fell for it. The U.S. government did the same thing many times in the 20th century. The civil rights legislation being one of them. If they refused to accept the BS reforms, and continued, the PLA would kill more until they break. And as I said before, the patriot/revolutionary is a minority figure. Always is. A guerrilla fighter never goes head to head. They've got numbers, you don't. Your ranks are precious. You do not have an endless stream of conscripts and cannon fodder.

It all comes down to this. For the average person, the only, and I mean, the ONLY effective method that exists is actual armed rebellion. Period. Nothing else works. If you are interested in changing things or fighting for liberty and freedom, there are two paths you can take. The first path is the revolutionary. In this path, you're literally shooting and killing taxmen, politicians, judges, government people, corporate leaders, bombing things, sabotage, attacking supporters of tyranny so forth and so on. Obviously, this is an extremely high risk path to take. You are literally putting you ass on the line. Give me liberty or give me death - except for real, not just a cool slogan.

The other path is non-active resistance. Doing everything in your power to evade taxes, to evade supporting the government, to undermine them as much as possible, to promote your ideas and lifestyle in contradiction to the will of the government.

That's all there is to it. There's nothing else. Other than submitting and being a SLAVE. Of the two options that have any chance of success, one is active, the other is not.

As I said above, I firmly believe everything the founders did was completely just. They did it for their liberty, and it founded the greatest nation of all time. Even in this tyranny, we all still benefit from their sacrifice. It's sad that people consider the last resort and final effective means for enacting change as barbarism or murder or unacceptable.

What the farmers did on April 19th, 1775 is celebrated. It's celebrated because their side ultimately won. But for their time, what they did was considered high treason. It's no different than a group of citizens today grabbing their assault rifles and ambushing or attacking a U.S. military or Police convoy en route to completing some type of liberty-stripping mission such as a firearm confiscation. No different at all. The punishment for such acts is death. It was the same back then.

That is the ultimate hypocrisy and irony. That the very thing that created this nation is condemned as wrong, as unjust, as murderous. Yet, the government on a daily basis proves that it is willing to murder its citizens in order to impose its will on them. They are taking it to the extreme EVERY DAY. They are going all the way, all the time. But for us little slaves to even suggest such a thing, that is very naughty!

My suggestion for these "tea party" clowns is to put down the signs, go back home and to get a fucking clue. Their time is better spent adjusting their lifestyle to minimize their slave output to the government. Live a life that pays the least amount of tax possible, that avoids ever paying money to credit card companies. Better spent training with firearms. Better spent reading books, getting educated and educating young children with the truth. Exposing them to a classical education. Shielding them from being taken away from their parents (mentally) by this public education system that puts people into a matrix-like bubble.

If dropping the hammer on some scumbag Federal agent is not for you, and it's not for most people, there are other ways to resist. But ultimately, resistance is resistance - it isn't proactive change. It won't get it done. But holding off is certainly better than submitting, and is the best thing to do until an opening presents itself for genuine change.

I have always been uncomfortable in groups, especially when they have a belief system. When people form a consensus among themselves, I make a point to separate myself from the consensus. When they start repeating words mindlessly, I leave.

Thus I am a skeptical loner who has nevertheless been through quite a few conversion experiences. I think each of them was valid in a way, but none of them turned out to be what I was really looking for (at least none of them alone, by itself).

The word "trivial" originally meant "something that blows in off the street." If you saw American Beauty, think of the scene at the end where the piece of paper is blowing back and forth in the wind. That's the original idea of trivial, and that's what our lives are supposed to be like: random, aimless, unfocused, blowing in the wind. Work at a meaningless job, watch tv, listen to Muzak, play ego games, chat, shop, smoke cigarettes, play golf, watch more tv, go to a nursing home.....

That's what I want to escape from. More precisely, I want to escape from the people who tell me I can't do anything else with my life - it's immoral and/or illegal to do something else.

There is another way to look at this. Like everyone, I have an inner dialog that goes on all the time. There are voices in my head, and usually they are just a random group of characters making a lot of noise. Sometimes it's like the Jerry Springer show. That's what I want to escape from.

A lot of people get very upset about "cults," without realizing that they are already in a cult. America is a cult. TV is a cult. Our thoughts are already controlled.

Many decades ago, George Orwell said that the best way to enslave people is to tell them that they are free. The best way to control people's thoughts is to tell them that they are Critical Thinkers.

The real irony here is that the people who go on and on about "critical thinking" and "thought control" just keep repeating the same clichés and never think critically about them.

If I could just go ahead and live my life, I wouldn't be sitting here typing this. But I find myself living in a society that has declared war on me, for no apparent reason, and I have nowhere to turn. Nobody in public life speaks for people like me.

We have no voice, no representation, no place in society. There is no room for non-suicidal white boys on the left, and no room for contrary thinking folks on the right. That leaves a lot of people with nowhere to go.

We have a right to be who we are. We have a right to live our lives without being part of somebody's project.

If you are one of the few people in this country just getting around to pulling one's head out of the opposite orifice, I think you deserve applause.

It's important for you to understand that what you're feeling is actually a good sign, an indication that you're breaking from the group think hive mentality and are beginning to think for yourself. You have been conditioned for so long to avoid this at all costs that it feels unnatural and unnerving. You're breaking away from the collective and it's frightening because all your life you're been taught to take your emotional cues from the collective and to never fully think for yourself. And never, ever go against the hive, the consensus.

Every time you begin to think you're alone, that you're in the Twilight Zone, understand that you're shaking off the zombie programming and you're leaving the hive. When someone has been in the hive as long as we have, it's nearly impossible to even conceive of anything other than the hive. Very few people are able to break through the painful initial cognitive dissonance this separation creates and most scurry back to the hive. Expect this pain to continue but each time you break through a barrier, the pain level you experience will be less and less.

For those still clinging to the hive, as this mess begins to really fall apart, the control system will exert more and more control over the hive, causing all kinds of distress as the hive mentality tells everyone to ignore the survival instinct while the inner self screams at them to save themselves. It will be very messy but not for you. Courage is all it takes from here because you're on the right path.

There's a reason a lot of long-time friends of mine have signed off - this sucker is going down, so what's the use in contemplating one's navel? Now is the time to be an ant, not a grasshopper, so it would behoove those wise enough to discern the truth that now is the time to prepare.

The fractional-reserve debt-based fiat system was designed to fail from the beginning - the law of exponential math dictates this reality. The only thing that allowed it to last this long were two things: (a) a series of destructive world-wars that necessitated massive capital re-building; and (b) more importantly, copious reserves of precious non-bodily fluids in which to power this activity.

The multi-trillions (quadrillions?) in unpayable principal+interest sovereign debt is still out there compounding away at anywhere from 1-5% per annum. Global income is not, and CANNOT, keeping pace at this exponential rate simply because of finite resource constraints. Leverage and other types of end-of-the-line tricks that were deployed to milk the last possible returns have turned negative, ushering in a period of deflation followed by hyper-inflation.

The game is up - it's all over except for the crying.

The truth will not be televised

A flow of information is constantly streaming from the television set; a bombardment of words and pictures. The speed at which this information is communicated makes it easy for the signal to take control, switching the viewer's brain to stand-by as information is absorbed without analysis or question. Today the television's constant signal shapes the conclusions of the masses and produces the collective norm. The signal prescribes what is news and what is truth through the words of so-called experts and authorities, gelding the consciousness and independent thoughts of those subjected to it. Through television, the masses can be made to accept the most monstrous distortions of reality. The signal is a chill wind of continuous oppression over the minds of the masses. It controls the management of society and culture, creating uniformity across all subjects.

The fuel for this vehicle of mass deception is a technique known as perception management where an array of psychological techniques are used to alter the truth, leading the viewer to a desired conclusion. Some call this spin or propaganda while others know it as lying. According to Joseph Goebbels, Propaganda Minister for Adolph Hitler, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it... It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." Most of what can be found on the nightly news is nothing but advertisements selling more government and a false reality that benefits only those in control. Television is the dictator of information; newspaper and radio are the whisper campaign of the television's message.

It is expected that Americans will consistently prescribe to the doctrine of the television. It is subtly communicated that one should stay within the collective and never challenge the message, for doing so may be considered an aggression towards culture. The message is, "Be a good consumer; always obey authority; you know nothing; listen only to experts; be content and never question or express new ideas." This signal is being broadcast across millions of screens, indoctrinating the unconscious minds of those who choose this as their only reality. Self-censorship occurs when these individuals become so deeply indoctrinated that they are afraid to discuss any information outside the paradigm of television-created culture; they police their thoughts to ensure they won't conflict with this culture. Sadly, many people's reality today does not allow any outside information to process, instead it is written off as conspiracy or blatant lies. Our consciousness has been destroyed so much that fiction has become reality. An entire lifestyle of poisonous foods, pharmaceuticals, and fluoridated water are accepted as safe and sold to us at the cost of our health and well being.

Those of the establishment are using the incredibly powerful weapon of mass psychology as a method of controlling the minds of the masses and altering the behavior of individuals. Edward Bernays, a pioneer in the field of public relations in the 20th century, applied Sigmund Freud's theory of psychoanalysis to manipulate the masses by engineering consent. According to Bernays, "If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without them knowing it." Advertisers and psychologists of the billion dollar culture creation industry manufacture trends through the proliferation of insecurities; and manipulating desires and emotions. These concepts are also employed to control how individuals think about politics, as well as the possibilities and limitations within society. Those wielding power within our streams of mass communication market their plans into each generation as individuals adopt specific ways of thinking and never suspect that all the major events and trends within their lifetime are actually planned by an elite few before they are even born. In our society today, culture is created from the top down. Virtually all forms of culture are created by the ruling class to build a false sense of reality, ensure social compliance, and control the future course of cultural evolution.

Predictive programming is a tool used by the establishment to acclimate the public to new ideas, trends, beliefs, and threats. It is used through television by including certain situations or ideas within the plots of many fictional shows, familiarizing the viewer with these concepts no matter what they may be watching. When similar situations occur or like ideas are circulated in the world we think that these particular things are quite natural for we have unknowingly been made familiar with them through television. By viewing nearly any popular show on television, one can see the same propaganda that will be aired on the nightly news. Propaganda on a wide array of subjects has been interwoven into a great number of television shows. Just a few of these subjects include global warming, vaccinations, torture, terrorism, national security, the militarization of police, and the degradation of the family unit. Through predictive programming, television shapes culture and prevents individuals from asking questions.

Crises are created on a daily basis and broadcast across the airwaves to keep individuals in a state of panic and fear. Whether it be the threat of a pandemic or terrorism, the constant state of crisis has created a form of mental illness as we are slowly acclimated into an age of crisis. By using Hegelian dialectic, the television promotes the problem, guides our reaction, and presents the solution. The problem of terrorism was exclaimed, a strong emotional response was evoked, and it was stated that our rights need be sacrificed in order to protect us from the threat. We've lost personal sovereignty under the guise of terrorism; we're stopped and searched; we're watched by cameras as we go about our lives; and we're encouraged to spy on our neighbors. We have been trained to accept the life of a prisoner.

America is in a state of enlightened despotism where most individuals live only to satisfy selfish inner desires and remain ignorant of the state of the world around them. In most public places one can find a television transmitting propaganda around the clock ensuring the masses remain focused on trivial matters. From birth we take the world as it’s presented on television. We don't question it and any serious criticism of TV is becoming psychologically impossible in society. Who would suspect getting born into a world where everything around you is a continuous lie? The youth of today are convinced that the experts and personalities on television are the authority of credible information while parents and older generations are foolish with dated ideas. Children are conditioned to disconnect from what is truly important to their well being and instead focus on mindless trivia, sports, celebrity gossip, and buying an array of material things. They invest their psychological worth in fantasy characters on television while ignoring or even scorning individuals contributing to the betterment of humanity. They are discouraged from getting involved in their local community and often lack the ability to think independently or to resist corruption. As their children's minds are molded by television, there is barely a murmur from the public.

For over half a century, our society has lived under this signal of mental programming and conditioning. The message is clear: don't be a leader, don't engage in critical thinking, and don’t care about the people in your life. Until individuals become aware of the current information war, our standard of living and our liberties will continue to be degraded and we will continue to lose communities and meaningful relationships between people. Currently, pockets of resistance are beginning to spring up everywhere as some unplug the signal and regain control of their own thoughts. Informed individuals are canceling their cable and satellite subscriptions and instead spending time with their families and children while participating in meaningful experiences. They are seeking alternative news sources. They are reading about those who weld incredible influence over culture like Edward Bernays, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Charles Galton Darwin, Plato, Bertrand Russell, and Aldous Huxley. However, it is a continuous battle to educate the masses for the television remains our greatest threat to individual sovereignty and the largest obstacle to becoming a truly informed individual. Fortunately, unplugging from the signal is easy. The television can simply be turned off. Through doing so, you may realize nearly our entire world is now a hoax; things once known as truth are fake. We have been trained like dogs to be obedient to our television; our master has had our minds on a tight leash.

Let us never forget the truth will not be televised.

Let me see if I understand this correctly:

The US debt is financed on Treasury Bonds. The Central Bank is buying the Treasury bonds (it prints for the government) because China and others have stopped buying them.

If the US defaults on payment of these bonds, then the owner of the bonds can declare the Republic insolvent and take claim to any assets the government has remaining. National Parks and Forests, military armament, and even Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Fannie and Freddie constitute over 50% of home mortgages (5 trillion dollars).

So now the Central Bank owns the mortgage and/or property of over 50% of the Republic.

Conquering a Nation without waging war? Enslavement of the masses for housing and income?

In my opinion the Obama administration and a certain contingent in congress and the sentate are engaging in project NationScrew. This is a project of treason whereby the US Federal Government initiates the destruction of both the financial system and the civil order. This gives them surfacial, legal reason to put us under martial law or some other “system” they screw us with.

They think they can do this and then shred the constitution thereby removing those inconvienient rights that our forefathers gave us. The first evidence of this will the martial law (they’ll call it something else), the second, gun confiscation “for our own safety”. Basically, its a way to move toward the Orwellian society outlined in the book 1984. This is why they have been so frantic to remove the guns from our hands. They have given that up, from a legal standpoint, realizing that we know what they are up to. Its “grabbing” time, they think.

The purpose of all those “executive orders” is to reform America into an Orwellian state. Take a look at them. Not a one of them enhances our freedom. No. Every law, every order, every writ takes *AWAY* our freedoms. Every congressional session, every senatorial meeting is a meeting to try and take more rights away. They want us more controllable. Their biggest enemy is our love of freedom and their second is The Constitution and the third is The American Patriots that know and worship the other two enemies. Those gun toting, freedom loving rednecks and hillbillies. In the end, they’ll be our heroes.

This process has never been tried on a population that has been both armed and where revolution is so highly valued. The God and Gun clingers are already awake. They’ve got a Bible in their pocket and ammo in the magazine and the are just waiting for an excuse to rack one in. The minute any move to declare martial law is made or to restrict free speech, religion or gun rights is made, the dictionary definition of “all hell broke loose” will look like picnic on a warm spring afternoon. They’re going to put high velocity holes in anything that they perceive as a threat to their freedom.

The treasoners have known from the beginning what the game plan was. So have the patriots. I just hope too many people in the middle don’t get hurt.

One thing they are not taking into consideration: The USA is a Union of countries. They’ve tried for years to educate it out of the populace, but, the USA is not a country, no, its a union of countries with a common administration. Each state can function on its own, though, not as easily as together, hence the reason for the “Union”. Not only will the US Government have to battle the people, they’ll have to battle the states. Some will cave right in and support the feds, most will not.

There won’t be a slavery issue to use as propaganda and we’ll just bottle the freedom hating bastards up where they belong: The already totalitarian North East quadrant of the USA. (Sorry New Hampshire, you’re about to be overrun by freedom HATERS!) Kalifornia, too, may have a similar distinction.

When it happens, its going to be tough for a while. You’ll need the three Fs for a while. Food/Fuel/Firearms. Don’t forget, a few bags of food, a few extra cans of gas and a few extra guns and ammo for your neighbors is prudent. Remember: If you help them, they’ll want to help you.

The only thing I wish to ensure is that the treasonous freedom haters in this country get a good and proper ass whipping. If we can stab the freedom vampire in the heart we might be able to last another 200 years.

This is America Dammit! You can’t just take away our luxuries and expect us to cave in to your dishonest bastard-thief desires!

Laura Schlessinger dispenses sex advice to people who call in to her radio show. Recently, she said that as an observant Orthodox Jew homosexuality is to her an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22 and cannot be condoned in any circumstance. Here are a few questions for her–

“Dear Dr. Laura.

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from your radio show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific Bible laws and how to follow them.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbours bitch to the zoning people. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:9. What do you think would be a fair price for her? She’s 18 and starting college. Will the slave buyer be required to continue to pay for her education by law?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence and threaten to call Human Resources.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?

Why can’t I own Canadians? Is there something wrong with them due to the weather?

e) I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should this be a neighbourhood improvement project? What is a good day to start? Should we begin with small stones? Kind of lead up to it?

f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. I mean, a shrimp just isn’t the same as a you-know-what.

Can you settle this?

g) Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? Would contact lenses fall within some exception?

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.19:27. How should they die? The Mafia once took out Albert Anastasia in a barbershop, but I’m not Catholic; is this ecumenical thing a sign that it’s ok?

i) I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev.24:10-16) Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

Closer inspection of a photo of Sarah Palin, during a speech in which she mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter, reveals several notes written on her left hand. The words "Energy", "Tax" and "Lift American Spirits" are clearly visible. There's also what appears to read as "Budget cuts" with the word Budget crossed out.

Then we have a better photo of her hand. This is Bible Spices' version of a "palm pilot". This woman is a tragedy. It is akin to going to the store for milk and bread and having to write milk and bread on your hand so you don't forget. And probably written on the right palm: "OTHER HAND!!!!"

So let's go to the video of this softball interview and watch her using her hillbilly palm pilot to cheat. This was the debut of the Palin Palm Pilot during the tea party speech. You may know it as the iQuit or the Palm-Pilotless...

Now personally, the way I see it, if I have to sell my car to pay my bills, this does not make me a savvy economist. It just means I am broke.

Yet, we wonder why the country is in the shitter.

Sarah memorized a lot of words and then regurgitated them in the form of a speech filled with contradictions. The litany of attacks on Obama were cheap and tawdry. Her ignorance about how the government operates and lack of knowledge on the issues are stunning. Her arrogance knows no bounds. Her hypocrisy is as distasteful as it is disturbing.

And she is oblivious to it all.

Sarah's entire speech can be summed up as a broadside attack on the Obama administration. Yet she has the gall to talk about the need for stability and constructive debate.

She is adamantly opposed to giving terrorists Miranda Rights. Apparently she does not know reading Miranda Rights to non-citizens was settled by the courts a long time ago, it is the law.

She talks about man's infallibility but thinks deregulating the market is a good idea. Presumably she doesn't realize the market is a human institution.

Sarah wants more tax-cuts without mentioning how to pay for them. Evidently she does not know tax cuts increases the deficit.

She called for Rahm to resign for using the word "retarded" and seemed to insinuate it was a deliberate attack on Trig and all the people who are mentally disabled. But she does not criticize Rush because it is political satire.

The list goes on... and on .... and on ....

Unarguably the woman clearly is not ready for prime time nor will she ever be. To say otherwise is a willful denial of the facts.

One of the most powerful forces in human psychology is the force of habit. Consistency, apathetic comfort, ties men to the ocean bottom to squeeze every ounce of oxygen from their last breath until it is gone, and we wake up at 50 or 60, only realizing then that we have done the same things and thought the same thoughts for decades without err. Repetition makes us easy to startle and easy to control. Any sudden break in daily routine can cause most people to freeze; animals gripped with terror at the very possibility of necessary individual action or adaptation.

This same repetition induces a type of “sleepwalk” in the average person, a zombie-like reanimation of brain functions that shriveled up and died years before, giving the impression of “life,” but in reality, it is merely a life on autopilot.

This is what makes catastrophes so catastrophic. It is not always the events themselves that reap such destruction, but people’s delayed reactions and dulled senses. The more ignorant the populace, the more magnified and painful such events become. Our lack of knowledge and reasonable action sets our own house ablaze, brings economies to ruin, and murders civilizations. Others may tip the problems into motion, but in the end, all of us, each and every individual, is responsible for the final result.

It is nearly Christmas, 2009, and the dangers of routine are never more blindingly obvious than they are at this time of year. A dangerous economic storm looms, its effects culminating most likely sometime in 2010. Many people know its there, they can feel it, but the chains of routine drag them back. “Our world will remain the same tomorrow as it was today…” they tell themselves, “…how could things possibly change?”

Mixed Signals Indicate Economic Disinformation

There are a number of half truths and financial fantasies floating around the U.S. today, which may explain why some have decided to throw caution to the wind, adopting a cult-like blind faith in the “unsinkable” American economy. I suspect that the consequences for this error in judgment will become quite clear to most by the end of next year, but until then, let’s examine our current situation, what the government has to say about it, and the reality they wish to gloss over.

Unemployment Thwarted By Bailouts?

Unfortunately, it depends on who you ask. If you ask the Labor Department, the U.S. lost only 11,000 jobs in November, far less than forecast, and unemployment evened out to 10% from 10.2%. Great news, right? It would be, if it were true…

Other data shows that the major revision in job losses may be an overenthusiastic calculation by the Labor Department.

First, the holiday season is notorious for generating thousands of temporary, low-paying part time jobs with an average of only 15-20 hours a week. The Labor Department counts people working these jobs as fully employed even though they do not make nearly enough money to support themselves and most will likely lose their positions once the Christmas season is over. Even with this influx of minimum wage holiday jobs to dilute unemployment numbers, it appears most retailers are only hiring about half of the number of temporary workers they did last year.

What this means is, unemployment will probably hit very hard in February and March when retailers begin cutting back once more, especially if Christmas profits fall short of target.

Waiting For The Return Of The Dollar? Don’t Hold Your Breath…

Many investors make the mistake of looking only at the relative weakness of other world currencies when assessing the Dollar’s strength, but there are many other factors to consider. The Greenback is unique in that it derives its strength not so much from the overall health of the U.S. economy, or any solid circulation fundamentals, but from the fact that it is the “world reserve currency”. When we examine the foundation of the Dollar, we find an extremely weak overprinted currency belonging to a country with a $12 Trillion projected deficit with another $90 Trillion in unfunded liabilities and totally reliant on foreign investment.

It would not take massive inflation to collapse the Greenback (although this is occurring). Wholesale prices jumped 1.8 percent last month, more than double the gain analysts expected, and sparking fears that the Fed will soon be forced to raise interest rates.

Mainstream economists are attempting to downplay these numbers by claiming that the inflation will be temporary, but in reality, we are only seeing the beginning. This also throws a monkey wrench into the arguments made by some financial advisors that the dollar is safe, and we are more likely to see deflation than inflation. If this was truly a deflationary collapse like the Great Depression, then why have prices on goods increased instead of decreased? We should have seen substantial price cuts on commodities and base manufacturing materials if deflation was the threat, but this has not occurred.

We know that the Elites are attempting to force the U.S. to answer to a centralized economic authority and accept a global currency in the form of Special Drawing Rights. They cannot accomplish this goal without collapsing the dollar. Period.

Setting the inflation threat aside, though, the only trigger necessary for a Dollar implosion would be for it to lose its reserve status in the eyes of the international financial community. Once this superfluous status is removed, the Dollar would no longer be considered a safe haven investment, and its value would plummet.

The signs that this event is about to occur are becoming more evident, most especially in Treasury Bond auctions and investment:

The “Treasury Yield Curve” is now the steepest it has been since at least 1980:

Foreign investment in U.S. debt has plummeted. Barack Obama is attempting to auction off $150 Billion in U.S. T-bills, but net foreign acquisition of long-term securities, taking into account adjustments, is estimated to have been only $8.3 billion. Even more disturbing, foreign holdings of dollar-denominated short-term U.S. securities, including Treasury bills, and other custody liabilities decreased $43.9 billion. Foreign holdings of Treasury bills decreased $38.3 billion. Meaning, not only are foreign investors NOT buying American debt, they are also beginning to get rid of the treasuries they already own! The biggest purchaser of U.S. Treasury debt is now the private Federal Reserve, printing money out of thin air and buying T-bills in order to prop up the value of its own currency! This cannot go on for much longer.

In order to permanently strengthen the basic value of the dollar, one of two things must happen; either the Fed must decrease the supply of dollars in the system (they are doing the opposite, printing up to $24 Trillion out of thin air in the span of a year), or, the Fed must somehow increase demand for all the dollars being created. As the dismal results of recent treasury auctions show, NO ONE wants dollars, especially not for the long term.

The consequences of this are obvious. Eventually, our incredible debt will become unserviceable, and the dollar will become completely undesirable. The Federal Reserve will be forced to raise interest rates and stop its endless printing, which will then pull the rug out from under the Dow and the T-bill market, making things even worse. Dollar proponents always seem to forget this very important detail; America is taking on more debt than it or any other country has in history. Without continued exponential investment from other countries, this debt will end the dollar, regardless of the weakness or strength of other national currencies, or the true rate of inflation.

Credit Market Recovery? Not A Chance…

The stated purpose, the entire reason for the Banker Bailouts and the flood of printed money into our financial systems, was to “restore credit markets” so that banks could begin lending again.

First off, such a concept is astoundingly moronic. What caused the collapse of the housing market in the first place? Unhindered accumulation of debt by people who could not afford to pay it back! This debt was, of course, facilitated by the private Federal Reserve’s artificially low interest rates, which gave banks free reign to throw cheap money wherever they pleased. When people began to default on their loans en masse, the bubble burst, and triggered the landslide we are seeing today.

How exactly would the creation of more lending, and therefore more debt, fix a problem caused by too much debt? If the average American can’t afford to pay back their old debts, then why in the world would they want to take on new debt? The philosophy of forcing liquidity into the same debt mechanisms which caused the problem in the first place to save the economy could only be dreamed up by someone with the mind of a naive child, unless, that someone wanted to deliberately make the problem worse….

If that is the case, then they have succeeded admirably.

Banks received trillions of dollars in bailout money, but still have not returned to standard lending practices. In fact many have tightened their restrictions on lending even further:

The Treasury has reported that bank lending balances continued to drop nine consecutive months through October:

Banks across the country continue to shut down at an alarming rate. The FDIC has closed 140 so far this year, and recently announced the closure of two banks in California with assets totaling in excess of $10 Billion! Not only this, but the FDIC is in many cases unable to sell off these bankrupt assets to other banks, meaning, they are forced to absorb the entire debt instead of a small piece of it. Any depositors at the RockBridge Commercial Bank with savings of more than $250,000 in their accounts have essentially lost the remainder. Recovery of their savings could take months, and even then they may get only a portion of what they had in their accounts.

What does this mean? It means that the FDIC is having trouble guaranteeing your deposits. Why? Because the FDIC is broke. Before the announcement of the two California banks totaling $10 Billion, the FDIC was officially in the red for $8.2 Billion. The real amount of debt the FDIC has incurred is probably far more than reported.

On The Other Side Of The World…

Both Greece and Spain are currently in dire straights with mounting and unserviceable debt:

But these are not the only European countries in danger of default. If one examines debt as a percentage of a country’s GDP, one can see which nations are on the edge of collapse.

Nations with a high debt to GDP ratio have a tendency to default, that is, to go bankrupt. Greece and Italy already have a national debt larger then their entire GDP, which means the revenue of each country for a whole year is not enough to pay off what they owe! This indicates the very real possibility of economic collapse in these countries. Spain, UK, and Germany are all on the edge of the abyss as well.

It is important to note here that America’s debt is now around 75% of our GDP, and is projected to increase to 100% of our GDP by the end of Obama’s first term:

Debt is the major driving force that will trigger collapse, and the U.S. is well on its way to accumulating epic amounts of it.

If any of these countries default on their debt (including the U.S.) the shockwave will send the rest of the globe into financial retreat.

Smoke And Mirrors

It’s nice to maintain a rosy outlook on the economic situation we face. It makes us feel safe. The fact is, though, that we are far from safe, and denying the problem will not make it go away. The MSM’s main drive, at least for now, is to promote a sense of well being. Some of them do it because they believe the markets are driven by psychology and that by creating a positive atmosphere, we can somehow make our troubles disappear through shear force of will. Of course, this is an absurd notion.

Others ignore the facts and spin ideas of recovery deliberately and with malicious intent, because they know comfortable people are not alert, and those that are not alert are easy to surprise, and surprised people are easy to control. The globalist George Soros for instance has lately been denying all signs of collapse, and making claims countries like Greece, Dubai, and the UK, have nothing to worry about:

What we are witnessing today is perhaps the greatest faux recovery in the history of the world. There is a reason why there is so much conflicting evidence. There is a reason why many economists are confused as to where the economy is going; because some of the evidence is based in fact, while the rest is designed to deceive.

Learning and standing by economic fundamentals can help one in discerning what rings true and what does not. The fundamentals cannot be changed, they can only be hidden. Stick with the foundations of the system (Fraud), ignore the fluff, the fog and shadows media game, and you will never be caught unaware when disaster strikes.

Huey Long was without a doubt the greatest politician who ever lived.

Education

Blessed with a brilliant mind and photographic memory, Huey Long easily circumvented the obstacles that prevented most rural children from attaining a formal education. Huey repeatedly skipped ahead — eventually passing the Louisiana bar exam at age 21 without a single diploma.

Huey's mother was determined that her nine children be well educated to achieve their fullest potential. There was no public school in Winnfield, so she home-schooled her children until more formal education became available. Huey and the youngest children would listen to their older siblings' lessons from underneath the kitchen table.

In 1903, at age 11, Huey started fourth grade in public school. Far ahead of his class, he was quite bored. Huey was a quick study and later convinced his teacher to let him skip seventh grade. In 1910, after completing the eleventh — and supposedly final — grade of school, a twelfth grade was added as a requirement for graduation. Huey circulated a petition against the additional year and was expelled. Consequently, he never officially graduated from high school. (He was posthumously awarded a high school diploma.)

Huey was an excellent debater in high school and won a scholarship to Louisiana State University as third prize in a statewide debating competition in Baton Rouge. However, he could not afford the textbooks or room and board to attend. Instead he became a traveling salesman. At age 17, he began touring the South for various companies, selling everything from cooking oil to patent medicines.

When sales jobs dried up, Huey’s mother saw an opportunity for her talented son to become a preacher as she had always hoped. She sent him to his older brother, George, in Shawnee, Okla., to attend seminary classes at Oklahoma Baptist University. After one semester, Huey concluded that he did not have the gift for preaching and decided to give the University of Okalahoma Law School a try. Once there, he found campus politics more interesting than his classes and left school for a good sales job at the end of the term.

Huey's oldest brother, Julius, an attorney, counseled him to continue his law studies at Tulane University Law School in New Orleans. Julius gave him a detailed outline of which classes to take and enough money to last Huey and his bride, Rose, for one year. In 1915, after only one year at Tulane, Huey obtained permission to take a special oral bar exam before the examining committee. He passed easily and returned to Winnfield at age 21 to practice law.

Early Career

In 1915, Huey opened his law office above the Winnfield Bank, where his Uncle George was bank president, using a wooden dry goods box as his first desk. (Rose sewed a cloth skirt for his “desk” to make it more presentable.) Huey stated proudly that he never took a case against a poor man and won notoriety for successfully representing a widow against the bank.

He made a name for himself by taking on the biggest businesses in town and became unpopular among the upper class. Huey also lobbied the state legislature for workers’ compensation reform and developed a reputation as an outspoken reformer.

With his legal successes, Huey could have become a wealthy attorney, but the lure of politics was his true passion

As a young attorney, Huey waged the first of many battles with the Standard Oil Company, the dominant oil producer – and political force – in Louisiana. In 1921, Huey represented a small oil company in a lease dispute against Standard Oil, and as a member of the Public Service Commission he sought to regulate the oil giant's pipeline activities. While both efforts were unsuccessful, he would later succeed as governor in levying taxes on Standard Oil to fund his education programs. Standard Oil retaliated by attempting to remove Long from office.

Entry Into Politics
Huey Long made a splash in Louisiana politics as a member of the Louisiana Railroad Commission, fighting corporate monopolies and reducing utility rates. By age 30, he was a major force in state politics and ran for governor in 1924, finishing a close third. It was the last political battle he would lose.

Huey became chairman of the Public Service Commission in 1922 and won statewide acclaim when he sued the Cumberland Telephone Company for unjustly raising its rates by 20%, successfully arguing the case on appeal before the U.S. Supreme Court. The phone company was forced to send refund checks to 80,000 overcharged customers. Huey’s arguments on behalf of the state so impressed Chief Justice William Howard Taft, that he later described Huey as one of the best legal minds to appear before the Court.

In 1924, Huey made his first statewide bid for public office by running for governor at age 30. Huey mocked the outgoing governor and the ruling New Orleans political machine known as the “Old Regulars” as pawns of big business and Standard Oil, in particular. In an election dominated by race and the influence of the Ku Klux Klan, Huey refused to play the race card and instead campaigned on issues of economic equality. He ran a close third, missing the run-off election by less than 7,400 votes.

Campaign for Governor

Louisiana was run by the New Orleans-based political establishment, called the “Old Regulars,” who exercised total control of state government through the legislature and a network of local sheriffs and “courthouse rings.” These “machine politicians” enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship with the wealthy planter class and large corporations and utilities, who were given free reign to profit off the state in return for their support.

Meanwhile, Louisiana was widely regarded as the most backward state in the nation. Public education was virtually non-existent among the masses, and one in four adults could not read. Most families could not afford to purchase the textbooks required for their children to attend school. Dirt roads and abundant water hazards made travel and commerce difficult. The poll tax hindered the lower classes from voting, and the poor paid disproportionately high property taxes for state services they never received.

He promised Louisiana’s needy citizens good roads, bridges, free hospital care, free education, and lower property taxes.

Huey Long as Governor

Upon his election, Huey transformed the state bureaucracy, installing supporters in every level of government and often placing a premium on competence over cronyism. He cultivated loyalty by giving people a chance to work in his administration, and it soon became common practice for average citizens to approach him for a job, college scholarship, or any other type of assistance.

Huey immediately pushed a number of bills through the legislature to fulfill his campaign promises, including a free textbook program for schoolchildren, night courses for adult literacy, and piping natural gas to New Orleans. He also launched a massive building program of roads, bridges, hospitals, and educational institutions.

Huey's bills met stiff opposition from many legislators and the state’s newspapers, which were financed by the state’s business interests, but Huey used wily and persuasive tactics to win passage of his bills. Huey was in a hurry to get things done and passed scores of laws that enabled him to enact his programs. A legal genius, Huey used the law to his advantage without breaking it. Opponents accused Long's administration of graft and overspending, when in fact he ran a fiscally tight ship. Louisiana had the third-lowest cost of government in the nation while providing unprecedented services to its people.

As Governor, Huey became an active promoter of Louisiana State University. He expanded the campus, tripled enrollment, and built LSU into one of the best schools in the South and the eleventh largest state university in the country. Huey lowered tuition and instituted scholarship programs that enabled poor students to attend. He also established the LSU medical school to meet the state's desperate need for new doctors.

The public soon began to see the tangible results of a massive building program to modernize Louisiana. As the nation plunged into the Great Depression after the stock market crash of 1929, thousands of Louisianians were at work building the state’s new infrastructure. With greater access to transportation, education and healthcare, the quality of life in Louisiana was on the upswing while the rest of the nation declined.

To finance these improvements, Huey restructured the tax system, shifting the burden from the poor to large businesses and the state’s wealthiest citizens.

Huey taxed oil operators to finance his free textbook program, provoking the wrath of Standard Oil, which launched an unsuccessful attempt to remove him from office.

When opponents blocked Huey’s bills in the 1930 legislative session, he responded by running for the U.S. Senate as a referendum on his progams. After his commanding victory, Huey pursued his agenda with renewed strength and formed an uneasy alliance with the “Old Regulars” and their chief, New Olreans Mayor T. Semmes Walmsley (nicknamed “Turkey Head” Walmsley by Huey). The alliance guaranteed support for Long’s programs and candidates in exchange for major structural improvements in New Orleans.

In his four-year term and as governor, Long increased the mileage of paved highways in Louisiana from 331 to 2,301, plus an additional 2,816 miles (4,532 km) of gravel roads. By 1936, the infrastructure program begun by Long had completed some 9,000 miles (14,500 km) of new roads, doubling the size of the state's road system. He built 111 bridges, and started construction on the first bridge over the lower Mississippi, the Huey P. Long Bridge in Jefferson Parish, near New Orleans. He built the new Louisiana State Capitol, at the time the tallest building in the South. All of these public works projects provided thousands of much-needed jobs during the Great Depression.

Long's free textbooks, school-building program, and school busing improved and expanded the public education system. His night schools taught 100,000 adults to read. He expanded funding for LSU, lowered tuition, and established scholarships for low-income students. He sometimes befriended persons in need. Young Pap Dean, later political cartoonist with the Shreveport Times wrote to Long in 1932 after hearing him speak in Dean's native Colfax to explain that Dean's college funds had been lost in a bank closing. Long helped Dean procure financial aid to attend LSU, from which he graduated in 1937.

Long founded the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He also doubled funding for the public Charity Hospital System, built a new Charity Hospital building for New Orleans, and reformed and increased funding for the state's mental institutions. His administration funded the piping of natural gas to New Orleans and other cities. It built the 11-kilometer (seven-mile) Lake Pontchartrain seawall and New Orleans airport. Long slashed personal property taxes and reduced utility rates. His repeal of the poll tax in 1935 increased voter registration by 76 percent in one year.

Long in the Senate (1932-1935)

Long's three-year term in the Senate overlapped an important time in American history as the Franklin Delano Roosevelt administration attempted to deal with the Great Depression. Long often attempted to upstage the president and the congressional leadership by mounting populistic appeals of his own, most notably his "Share Our Wealth" program.

With the backdrop of the Great Depression, he made characteristically fiery speeches which denounced the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few. He also criticized the leaders of both parties for failing to address the crisis adequately.

In the presidential election of 1932, Long became a vocal supporter of the candidacy of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He believed Roosevelt to be the only candidate willing and able to carry out the drastic redistribution of wealth that Long believed was necessary to end the Great Depression. At the Democratic National Convention, Long was instrumental in keeping the delegations of several wavering states in the Roosevelt camp. Long expected to be featured prominently in Roosevelt's campaign, but he was disappointed with a speaking tour limited to four Midwestern states.

He campaigned to elect Hattie Caraway, the underdog candidate of Arkansas, to her first full term in the Senate by conducting a whirlwind, seven-day tour of that state. With Long's help, Caraway became the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate.

After Roosevelt's election, Long soon broke with the new President. Aware that Roosevelt had no intention to radically redistribute the country's wealth, Long became one of the few national politicians to oppose Roosevelt's New Deal policies from the left. He considered them inadequate in the face of the escalating economic crisis. Long sometimes supported Roosevelt's programs in the Senate, saying that "Whenever this administration has gone to the left I have voted with it, and whenever it has gone to the right I have voted against it". He opposed the National Recovery Act, calling it a sellout to big business.

Roosevelt considered Long a radical demagogue. The president privately said of Long that along with General Douglas MacArthur, "He was one of the two most dangerous men in America".

Roosevelt later compared Long's meteoric rise in popularity to that of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. In June 1933, in an effort to undermine Long's political dominance, Roosevelt cut Long out of consultation on the distribution of federal funds or patronage in Louisiana. Roosevelt also supported a Senate inquiry into the election of Long ally John H. Overton to the Senate in 1932. The Long machine was charged with election fraud and voter intimidation; however, the inquiry came up empty, and Overton was seated.

To discredit Long and damage his support base, in 1934 Roosevelt had Long’s finances investigated by the Internal Revenue Service. Though they failed to link Long to any illegality, some of Long’s lieutenants were charged with income tax evasion, but only one had been convicted by the time of Long’s death.

Long’s radical populist rhetoric and his aggressive tactics did little to endear him to his fellow senators. Not one of his proposed bills, resolutions or motions was passed during his three years in the Senate despite an overwhelming Democratic majority. During one debate, another senator told Long, “I do not believe you could get the Lord’s Prayer endorsed in this body.”

Foreign Policy

In terms of foreign policy, Long was a firm isolationist. He argued that America’s involvement in the Spanish-American War and the First World War had been deadly mistakes conducted on behalf of Wall Street. He also opposed American entry into the World Court. So it is probably safe to say that WWII would have never happened if Huey Long would have been President.

Other Views

Long was a staunch opponent of the Federal Reserve Bank. Together with a group of Congressmen and Senators, Long believed the Federal Reserve's policies to be the true cause of the Great Depression. Long made speeches denouncing the large banking houses of Morgan and Rockefeller centered in New York which owned stock in the Federal Reserve System. He believed that they controlled the monetary system to their own benefit, instead of the general public's benefit.

Long proposed a new progressive tax code designed to limit the size of personal fortunes. The new tax code would tax the first million dollars of wealth at zero. The second million dollars of wealth would be taxed at 1%. The third million at 2%; the fourth million at 4%; the fifth million at 8%; the sixth million at 16%; the seventh million at 32%; the eighth million at 64%; and the remainder at 100%. Income tax rates would be at 100% for all incomes over $1 million.

The resulting funds would be used to guarantee every family a basic household grant of $5,000 and a minimum annual income of $2,000-3,000, or one-third of the average family income. Long supplemented his plan with proposals for free primary and college education, old-age pensions, veterans' benefits, federal assistance to farmers, public works projects, and limiting the work week to thirty hours.

Long believed that ending the Great Depression and staving off violent revolution required a radical restructuring of the national economy and elimination of disparities of wealth, retaining the essential features of the capitalist system. After the Senate rejected one of his wealth redistribution bills, Long told them, "A mob is coming to hang the other ninety-five of you damn scoundrels and I'm undecided whether to stick here with you or go out and lead them."

Presidential Ambitions

According to Long biographers T. Harry Williams and William Ivy Hair, the senator never intended to run for the presidency in 1936. Long instead planned to challenge Roosevelt for the Democratic nomination in 1936, knowing he would lose the nomination but gain valuable publicity in the process. Then he would break from the Democrats and form a third party using the Share Our Wealth plan as a basis for its program.

He also planned to use Father Charles Coughlin, a Catholic priest and populist talk radio personality from Royal Oak, Michigan; Iowa agrarian radical Milo Reno; and other dissidents. The new party would run someone else as its 1936 candidate, but Long would be the primary campaigner. This candidate would split the progressive vote with Roosevelt, thereby resulting in the election of a Republican as president but proving the electoral appeal of Share Our Wealth. Long would then run for president as a Democrat in 1940. In the spring of 1935, Long undertook a national speaking tour and regular radio appearances, attracting large crowds and increasing his stature.

Long was well on his way to being president in 1940. If Long would have been elected president, there would be no WWII, no profits from the banking interests in Europe and America in financing this war, nor any war profits from American corporations like IG Farben. All of the best laid plans Roosevelt had would have gone to hell in a handbasket.

Assassination

In July 1935, two months prior to his death, Long claimed that he had uncovered a plot to assassinate him, which had been discussed in a meeting at New Orleans's DeSoto Hotel. According to Long, four U.S. representatives, Mayor Walmsley, and former governors Parker and Sanders had been present. Long read what he claimed was a transcript of a recording of this meeting on the floor of the Senate.

Long called for a special session of the Louisiana Legislature to begin in September 1935, and he traveled from Washington to Baton Rouge to oversee its progress. The accounts of the September 8, 1935 murder differ, with many believing that Long was shot once or twice by medical doctor Carl Austin Weiss in the Capitol building at Baton Rouge. Weiss was immediately shot sixty-one times by Long's bodyguards and police on the scene.

Shortly after being shot, the expiring Long reportedly said, "I wonder why he shot me." Long died two days later of internal bleeding, following Dr. Arthur Vidrine's attempt to close the wounds.

Summary

Huey Long opposed banking interests, Rockefeller, JP Morgan, Standard Oil, power companies and the truly wealthy. Roosevelt hated his guts and was scared of him.

In 2001, co-authors Denis Robert and Ernest Backes released a book called "Révélation$," followed by Robert's "La Boîte Noire," describing what has been named the "greatest financial scandal in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg." The little publicity their works received came only in the French media, and even there publicity was minimal. Gee, I wonder why?

In a number of interviews, Denis Robert accused "Le Monde" of deliberately suppressing articles and reviews of his book, suggesting that financial links between "Le Monde" and Deutsche Börse (which now owns 100% of Clearstream's shares) were the cause of this censorship.

Denis Robert was found guilty of libel and sentenced altogether 8 times by the French courts for describing Clearstream as a huge money laundering and tax evasion machine, used by major banks, shell companies, and organized crime all over the world.

By 1980, Ernest Backes had become Cedel's #3, in charge of relations with clients, but he was fired in May 1983, allegedly because he "knew too much about the Ambrosiano scandal," one of Italy's major political scandals. Two months after his dismissal, Gérard Soisson was found dead in Corsica. The Banco Ambrosiano, allegedly involved in money-laundering for the Mafia and owned in majority by the Vatican Bank, collapsed in 1982. The bank "laundered drugs- and arms-trafficking money for the Italian and American Mafias, and in the 1980s it channeled Vatican money to the Contras in Nicaragua and to Solidarity in Poland", according to Komisar.

In 2005 the Italian justice system reopened its investigation of the murder of Roberto Calvi, Ambrosiano's chairman; it has requested the support of Ernest Backes, and will investigate Gerard Soisson's death, according to Komisar. Licio Gelli, headmaster of Propaganda Due masonic lodge (aka P2, it was involved in Gladio's "strategy of tension" starting from the 1969 Piazza Fontana bombing), and mafiosi Giuseppe Calo, are being prosecuted for the assassination of Roberto Calvi.

The Federal Reserve is a fraud. Every company and agency that is involved with the FED is not only a fraud, but it is a support pillar and control mechanism of the FED. It's just another way to prop up the original fraud.

If the original is a fraud, then every single company and agency tied to it HAS to support this fraud. That is why the system HAS to collapse. Every house of cards must fall sooner or later.

The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

Did Hitler Want War?

On Sept. 1, 1939, 70 years ago, the German Army crossed the Polish frontier. On Sept. 3, Britain declared war.

Six years later, 50 million Christians and Jews had perished. Britain was broken and bankrupt, Germany a smoldering ruin. Europe had served as the site of the most murderous combat known to man, and civilians had suffered worse horrors than the soldiers.

By May 1945, Red Army hordes occupied all the great capitals of Central Europe: Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Berlin. A hundred million Christians were under the heel of the most barbarous tyranny in history: the Bolshevik regime of the greatest terrorist of them all, Joseph Stalin.

What cause could justify such sacrifices?

The German-Polish war had come out of a quarrel over a town the size of Ocean City, Md., in summer. Danzig, 95 percent German, had been severed from Germany at Versailles in violation of Woodrow Wilson’s principle of self-determination. Even British leaders thought Danzig should be returned.

Why did Warsaw not negotiate with Berlin, which was hinting at an offer of compensatory territory in Slovakia? Because the Poles had a war guarantee from Britain that, should Germany attack, Britain and her empire would come to Poland’s rescue.

But why would Britain hand an unsolicited war guarantee to a junta of Polish colonels, giving them the power to drag Britain into a second war with the most powerful nation in Europe?

Was Danzig worth a war? Unlike the 7 million Hong Kongese whom the British surrendered to Beijing, who didn’t want to go, the Danzigers were clamoring to return to Germany.

Comes the response: The war guarantee was not about Danzig, or even about Poland. It was about the moral and strategic imperative "to stop Hitler" after he showed, by tearing up the Munich pact and Czechoslovakia with it, that he was out to conquer the world. And this Nazi beast could not be allowed to do that.

If true, a fair point. Americans, after all, were prepared to use atom bombs to keep the Red Army from the Channel. But where is the evidence that Adolf Hitler, whose victims as of March 1939 were a fraction of Gen. Pinochet’s, or Fidel Castro’s, was out to conquer the world?

After Munich in 1938, Czechoslovakia did indeed crumble and come apart. Yet consider what became of its parts.

The Sudeten Germans were returned to German rule, as they wished. Poland had annexed the tiny disputed region of Teschen, where thousands of Poles lived. Hungary’s ancestral lands in the south of Slovakia had been returned to her. The Slovaks had their full independence guaranteed by Germany. As for the Czechs, they came to Berlin for the same deal as the Slovaks, but Hitler insisted they accept a protectorate.

Now one may despise what was done, but how did this partition of Czechoslovakia manifest a Hitlerian drive for world conquest?

Comes the reply: If Britain had not given the war guarantee and gone to war, after Czechoslovakia would have come Poland’s turn, then Russia’s, then France’s, then Britain’s, then the United States.

We would all be speaking German now.

But if Hitler was out to conquer the world — Britain, Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, South America, India, Asia, Australia — why did he spend three years building that hugely expensive Siegfried Line to protect Germany from France? Why did he start the war with no surface fleet, no troop transports and only 29 oceangoing submarines? How do you conquer the world with a navy that can’t get out of the Baltic Sea?

If Hitler wanted the world, why did he not build strategic bombers, instead of two-engine Dorniers and Heinkels that could not even reach Britain from Germany?

Why did he let the British army go at Dunkirk?

Why did he offer the British peace, twice, after Poland fell, and again after France fell?

Why, when Paris fell, did Hitler not demand the French fleet, as the Allies demanded and got the Kaiser’s fleet? Why did he not demand bases in French-controlled Syria to attack Suez? Why did he beg Benito Mussolini not to attack Greece?

Because Hitler wanted to end the war in 1940, almost two years before the trains began to roll to the camps.

Americans develop elaborate rationalizations based on propaganda that their Govt feeds them and they become deeply attached to their beliefs. Their emotional involvement becomes wrapped up in their personal identity and sense of morality. They look for information that supports their beliefs and avoid information that challenges them, regardless of the facts of the matter.

What the sociologists tell us is that by the time facts become clear, people are emotionally wedded to the beliefs planted by the propaganda and find it a wrenching experience to free themselves. It is more comfortable, instead, to denounce the truth-tellers than the liars whom the truth-tellers expose.

The psychology of belief retention even when those beliefs are wrong is a pillar of social cohesion and stability. It explains why, once change is effected, even revolutionary governments become conservative. The downside of belief retention is its prevention of the recognition of facts. Today in the United States millions find it easier to chant “USA, USA, USA” than to accept facts that indicate the need for change.

Can you have a debate without scoffing at someone who knows far more about a subject than you do? What is your response when you find that you cannot defend your beliefs against the evidence presented? Scoff some more? Become enraged?

Some people think I should suppress information that is inconsistent with their beliefs and talk about other things. These readers never have any comprehension of the subject matter because they do not research the material they are arguing about. They are simply emotionally offended.

The problem faced by truth is the emotional needs of people. Many Americans feel that they must believe their government so that they don’t feel like they are being unsupportive or unpatriotic, and they are very fearful of being called “terrorist sympathizers.”

Most of the people who are content with the government’s or a TV host’s official explanation have never examined the evidence of the subject matter. Yet, these know-nothings shout down those like me who have studied the matter closely for thousands of hours.

I am only after the truth. I am not looking to reinforce my belief system by finding ideas and “evidence” that support my way of thinking to make me feel better. My opinions change almost every day in light of new evidence.

As far as I can tell, most Americans have far greater confidence in the government or their favorite political TV Host than they do in the truth. Neither end of the political spectrum is capable of fundamental questioning of the government. This explains the ease with which our government routinely deceives the people.

Democracy is based on the assumption that people are rational beings who factually examine arguments and are not easily manipulated. Studies are not finding this to be the case. In my own experience in talking to the highly educated, individuals in public policy, and everyday people, I have learned that everyone from professors to high school dropouts has difficulty with facts and analyses that do not fit with what they already believe.

The notion that "we are not afraid to follow the truth wherever it may lead" is an extremely romantic and idealistic notion. I have seldom experienced open minds even in the professional arena or in the educated world. Among the public at large, the ability to follow the truth wherever it may lead is almost non-existent.

America's financial capability and living standards are forever lower. Our country's prestige and world leadership are forever damaged. The first decade of the 21st century has been squandered in pointless wars, and it appears the second decade will also be squandered in the same pointless and bankrupting pursuit.

The most disturbing fact of all remains: People do not actually want to hear the facts if those facts are not in line with their personal belief system. People are afraid to question anything of consequence because they are afraid of what others might think of them.

There have been very few new applications for tungsten in recent years and most end use markets are relatively mature. This means that average growth rates tend to be generally in line with cyclical economic activity. However, global demand rose from 45,100tW in 2002 to 60,500tW in 2005, an average of 10%py. Demand for tungsten is forecast to grow by an average 3%py to 2010, when it will reach 68,250t.

So there were no new uses for tungsten yet there was a sudden spike in demand where the annual growth rate tripled from 2002-2005. I calculate the anomalous extra demand to equal 21,000 t. This is by no means proof of anything but a sudden massive increase in demand for a metal that has no new applications and is in a mature market is difficult to explain away.

Perhaps there WAS a new use for tungsten that very few people know about…like making fake LGD gold bars! Most LGD bars will be kept in vaults in London and not be re-assayed if they don’t leave the vault. An almost water tight fraud once they are accepted in to the vault that even auditors could not detect. The plot thickens!

There are two foreign depositories for gold:

1. Bank of England
2. Bank of NY

There is little doubt that the source of the "tungsten" is the Bank of England.

One of the oldest scams is making a brick of tungsten and covering the brick with gold, sealing all the edges and covering the whole surface with real gold.

A London Good Delivery Gold Brick is a 400 oz gold brick, stamped on the bottom with the assayer (e.g. Johnson Mathey). The stamp would have the serial number and the weight of the bar to 3 decimal places.

If I were to buy gold from London and ship to say the bank of Nova Scotia, Scotia Macotta, the agent for the bank and for me would guarantee to me the purity and the weight.

For this I pay insurance, shipping fees and storage fees. If the gold comes from their own inventory, they would not assay. If it comes from another vault, then one or two bricks would be assayed.

The assay requires a hole to be drilled to make sure that gold is uniform. The core and the brick is then heated and reweighed and stamped and that new brick would have Good Delivery Status.

It would be a nightmare to assay every brick that comes to a bank.

It now seems that the Chinese asked for an assay on some of their bricks and lo and behold, some were filled with Tungsten. You can imagine the nightmare that this presents itself.

Who has been buying gold lately?

India bought 200 tons of the 403 tons....

India said it was keen to diversify its reserves away from the US dollar, which has weakened in recent months.

USA: "You wanna diversify away from the Dollar? Sure, please hold one minute for our customer service rep. He will be with you shortly".

USA to Federal Reserve board: "Hey, we got India on hold wanting to diversify away from the dollar and buy some gold. WTF are we going to do now"?

Fed Board: "Hey, we still have some of those gold plated tungsten bricks! Lets unload 403 tons of that crap on them, they will never know. We will make it look like the Chinese did it"!!

The IMF only offered it to other Central Banks. I wonder why? If the Central Bank discovered the fake bars, would they even say anything? Or would they let people assume they have real gold?

My suspicion is that India is getting rid of a few US Dollars obtained in international trade and buying the gold, before the dollar slides further.

Take into account that the value of all the Gold mined in history only amounts to about $5 Trillion if sold at todays prices (give or take a few million).

The US has -$65 Trillion in real estate debt, -$100 Trillion in unfunded liabilities like Medicare, Social Security, and not to mention the $600 Trillion in Derivatives floating around out there......

At virtually every previous landing on this trip Columbus's troops had gone ashore and killed indiscriminately, as though for sport, whatever animals and birds and natives they encountered, "looting and destroying all they found," as the Admiral's son Fernando blithely put it. Once on Hispaniola, however, Columbus fell ill — whether from the flu or, more likely, from some other malady — and what little restraint he had maintained over his men disappeared as he went through a lengthy period of recuperation. The troops went wild, stealing, killing, raping, and torturing natives, trying to force them to divulge the whereabouts of the imagined treasure—houses of gold.

The Indians tried to retaliate by launching ineffective ambushes of stray Spaniards. But the combined killing force of Spanish diseases and Spanish military might was far greater than anything the natives could ever have imagined. Finally, they decided the best response was flight. Crops were left to rot in the fields as the Indians attempted to escape the frenzy of the conquistadors' attacks. Starvation then added its contribution, along with pestilence and mass murder, to the native peoples' woes.

The massacres continued. Columbus remained ill for months while his soldiers wandered freely. More than 50,000 natives were reported dead from these encounters by the time the Admiral had recovered from his sickness. And when at last his health and strength had been restored Columbus's response to his men's unorganized depredations was to organize them. In March of 1495 he massed together several hundred armored troops, cavalry, and a score or more of trained attack dogs. They set forth across the countryside, tearing into assembled masses of sick and unarmed native people, slaughtering them by the thousands. The pattern set by these raids would be the model the Spanish would follow for the next decade and beyond. As Bartolome de Las Casas, the most famous of the accompanying Spanish missionaries from that trip recalled:

Once the Indians were in the woods, the next step was to form squadrons and pursue them, and whenever the Spaniards found them, they pitilessly slaughtered everyone like sheep in a corral. It was a general rule among Spaniards to be cruel; not just cruel, but extraordinarily cruel so that harsh and bitter treatment would prevent Indians from daring to think of themselves as human beings or having a minute to think at all. So they would cut an Indian's hands and leave them dangling by a shred of skin and they would send him on saying "Go now, spread the news to your chiefs." They would test their swords and their manly strength on captured Indians and place bets on the slicing off of heads or the cutting of bodies in half with one blow. They burned or hanged captured chiefs."

At least one chief, the man considered by Columbus to be Hispaniola's ranking native leader, was not burned or hanged, however. He was captured, put in chains, and sent off by ship for public display and imprisonment in Spain. Like most of the Indians who had been forced to make that voyage, though, he never made it to Seville: he died en route.

With the same determination Columbus had shown in organizing his troops' previously disorganized and indiscriminate killings, the Admiral then set about the task of systematizing their haphazard enslavement of the natives. Gold was all that they were seeking, so every Indian on the island who was not a child was ordered to deliver to the Spanish a certain amount of the precious ore every three months. When the gold was delivered the individual was presented with a token to wear around his or her neck as proof that the tribute had been paid. Anyone found without the appropriate number of tokens had his hands cut off.

Since Hispaniola's gold supply was far less than what the Spaniards' fantasies suggested, Indians who wished to survive were driven to seek out their quotas of the ore at the expense of other endeavors, including food production. The famines that had begun earlier, when the Indians attempted to hide from the Spanish murderers, now grew much worse, while new diseases that the Spanish carried with them preyed ever more intensely on the malnourished and weakened bodies of the natives. And the soldiers never ceased to take delight in killing just for fun.

Spanish reports of their own murderous sadism during this time are legion

For a lark they "tore babes from their mother's breast by their feet, and dashed their heads against the rocks." The bodies of other infants "they spitted. . . together with their mothers and all who were before them, on their swords." On one famous occasion in Cuba a troop of a hundred or more Spaniards stopped by the banks of a dry river and sharpened their swords on the whetstones in its bed. Eager to compare the sharpness of their blades, reported an eyewitness to the events, they drew their weapons and began to rip open the bellies, to cut and kill those lambs—men, women, children, and old folk, all of whom were seated, off guard and frightened, watching the mares and the Spaniards. And within two credos, not a man of all of them there remains alive. The Spaniards enter the large house nearby, for this was happening at its door, and in the same way, with cuts and stabs, begin to kill as many as they found there, so that a stream of blood was running, as if a great number of cows had perished. . . To see the wounds which covered the bodies of the dead and dying was a spectacle of horror and dread.

This particular slaughter began at the village of Zucayo, where the townsfolk earlier had provided for the conquistadors a feast of cassava, fruit, and fish. From there it spread. No one knows just how many Indians the Spanish killed in this sadistic spree, but Las Casas put the number at well over 20,000 before the soldiers' thirst for horror had been slaked.

Another report, this one by a group of concerned Dominican friars, concentrated on the way the Spanish soldiers treated native infants:

Some Christians encounter an Indian woman, who was carrying in her arms a child at suck; and since the dog they had with them was hungry, they tore the child from the mother's arms and flung it still living to the dog, who proceeded to devour it before the mother's eyes.... When there were among the prisoners some women who had recently given birth, if the new-born babes happened to cry, they seized them by the legs and hurled them against the rocks, or flung them into the jungle so that they would be certain to die there.

Or, Las Casas again, in another incident he witnessed:

The Spaniards found pleasure in inventing all kinds of odd cruelties, the more cruel the better, with which to spill human blood. They built a long gibbet, low enough for the toes to touch the ground and prevent strangling, and hanged thirteen [natives] at a time in honor of Christ Our Saviour and the twelve Apostles. When the Indians were thus still alive and hanging, the Spaniards tested their strength and their blades against them, ripping chests open with one blow and exposing entrails, and there were those who did worse. Then, straw was wrapped around their torn bodies and they were burned alive. One man caught two children about two years old, pierced their throats with a dagger, then hurled them down a precipice.

If some of this has a sickeningly familiar ring to readers who recall the massacres at My Lai and Song My and other Vietnamese villages in the not too distant past, the familiarity is reinforced by the term the Spanish used to describe their campaign of terror: "pacification." But as horrific as those bloodbaths were in Vietnam, in sheer magnitude they were as nothing compared with what happened on the single island of Hispaniola five hundred years ago: the island's population of about eight million people at the time of Columbus's arrival in 1492 already had declined by a third to a half before the year 1496 was out. And after 1496 the death rate, if anything, accelerated.

And we know who the most infamous conquistadors reveling in mass-scale warfare and massacres are, i.e. Hernan Cortez and Francisco Pizarro.

The celebration of Columbus Day is condoning and advocating genocide to uphold the intrinsically human nature of ABSOLUTE POWER and UNADULTERATED GREED.

Nuclear Debate Brews: Is Iran Designing Warheads?

The corporate media have been given their orders to throw the focus back on to Iran.
Here is a recap of what they are trying to make you forget.

1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of the new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year.

Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

We need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep doing it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

We as a species actually have a class of professionals, highly-paid professionals, who we give the right to poison us with toxic chemicals. These people are called doctors. I call them drug dealers.

Just like illegal drugs, their drugs kill people. The main difference is that these "legal" drugs enrich politically influential corporations, whereas illegal drugs enrich drug lords.

Our national "War on Drugs" is quite selective in its targets, don't you think? Industrial hemp is outlawed, but doping up millions of children on powerful narcotics is perfectly legal: it's called Ritalin.

So remember, we're the only species stupid enough to actually poison ourselves. And if we don't do it in just one or two ways, we do it in half a dozen different ways! Then we regulate that poisoning, we make it federal law! And we have lobbyists and groups out there defending this use of poison in the food supply, and defending the use of it in cosmetic products and personal care products.

We have defenders of the drug industry, people who say,

"Yeah, well there was a study five years ago that showed a 1200 percent heart attack increase, but we thought that really wasn't relevant to this drug and we decided to go ahead and market that drug anyway."

That's what we have today. And the real details of this gruesome story have only begun to be uncovered.

Is it any wonder, with all of the poisoning going on at all the different levels in our bodies, that we are now the most chronically diseased population that has ever been recorded in the history of civilization? It's true -- there is no population that has suffered from diseases like we do in America today. You would have to be clinically insane to not think that there's a correlation between the poison we are putting into our bodies and the diseases we are getting as a result.

Plus, as recent studies have shown, we're the #1 nation in the world in terms of mental disorders as well!

But no, wait a minute -- the doctors are right, all diseases are just genetic. None of these poisons matter, it's just your genes. They say the gene pool of the human race was perfectly fine 100 years ago when people didn't have all these diseases, but it has somehow mutated to a gene pool that gives you heart disease and cancer and osteoporosis and diabetes, and, by the way, there's nothing you can do about it. That's what they want you to believe.

Then you have no ability to make changes.

Actually, we're pretty darned clever, aren't we?

So not only are we the most stupid species on the planet, because we're poisoning ourselves, we are simultaneously the cleverest species, because we find ways to justify all that poisoning. We find scientific gobbledygook to claim that, yes, NutraSweet is good for you! Or that these chlorine atoms attached to sugar are great for you, or that mercury in your mouth somehow doesn't have a toxic effect on your body. Or that hydrogenated oils are perfectly fine for your heart health.

We stupidly say if you take those and you drink this weight loss shake made with sugar, you'll be healthy. And if you have this barbaric surgical procedure called gastric bypass surgery, you'll no longer be obese. And if you're not healthy, don't worry; we have magic bullet prescription drugs that will make you even healthier. So we're a clever population at the same time that we're incredibly stupid.

Do you know what that's called? That's called being a population of great technicians and lousy healers.

And that's exactly what we are today. Having used the word "stupid" throughout this post, I use it deliberately. I don't mean it in the way that a teenager might say,

"My stupid little brother flipped me off."

I mean it in a more precise way, in the way defined by Dictionary.com:

Stupid:

1. Slow to learn or understand; obtuse.

2. Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes.

We're not really "defending" our way into Iraq, Afghanistan and seventy-five other countries where we have a military presence. Spending on "health care" doesn't have anything to do with health (it's all about disease). And people who say spending more debt money to "help the economy" are mathematical retards. You can't get yourself out of debt by spending more money (even though V.P. Joe Biden insists you can...).

So are you ready for the actual number? It's an eye-opener.

The actual percentage of the U.S. federal budget spent on WAR, DISEASE, and DEBT is 87 percent.

That leaves just 13 cents on the dollar for roads, schools, parks, technology, science, the environment, adult education and other programs.

If you spent 87% of your own household income on war, disease, and debt, leaving only 13 cents on the dollar for food, clothing, transportation, and entertainment, how long would your own finances stay solvent? Not very long...

It doesn't take a financial genius to realize that the United States of America has dug itself into a financial trench so deep and so infected with bad planning that there is virtually no way it can get out. As a result, the American people are increasingly bankrupt, diseased, and homeless. (I predict a new wave of tent cities springing up across the American landscape as increasing numbers of Americans lose their jobs and their homes.)

"Mr. America" is burned out, stressed out, tapped out, and about to be rubbed out. It is only a matter of time before economic reality sets in and the American people find their currency is phased out, too.

An economic prison to keep you trapped and penniless!

It's easy to see this from afar: America is living in a fantasy world, where the laws of economics have been (temporarily) suspended. There's no such thing as too much spending. No such thing as too many prescription drugs or vaccines. No such thing as too much war. It's all justifiable by the relentless fools in Washington who claim, "We saved the economy!"

Because, you see, we are past the point of dealing with reality in America. There will be no saving the nation from financial demise. There will be no meaningful health care reform. There will be no real changes that preserve your freedom or your bank account.

Instead, one hundred percent of the efforts are now focused on preserving the illusions that keep America artificially propped up like a morbid human puppet. The new Congressional bills, the financial bailouts, the empty talk of health care reform -- these are all designed to distract you from the sobering, unavoidable and simple truth:

That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. [Recognize it?]

That prison keeps you working 60-hour weeks.

It keeps you paying your taxes.

These almost invisible strings are very well concealed, where the puppets themselves – the politicians, religious leaders, heads of educational institutions, scientists, foundations, various think-tanks, media moguls and other officials generally held in high-esteem by the sheeple - act so incredibly convincing as to blend in perfectly with their audience. Extremely evil men of all religious and ethnic persuasions who make up the world's power-elite have cleverly cultivated a virtual pasture so beautifully grass-green that few people, seldom if ever, bother to look up from where they are grazing long enough to notice the brightly coloured tags stapled to their ears. These same people who cannot see their enslavement for the ever delicious pasture grass, have a tendency to view as insane "conspiracy theorists," those of us seeming loons who have strained hard to see past the farm and into the parlour of the feudal lordship's castle.

This life on earth is the only one we get and decisions made here, determines where we spend eternity - and it is in THIS, that the puppet-masters have a vested interest. Time is our most precious asset; it is always and deliberately in short supply and usually expended on the wrong things. Why waste it allowing our potential, our personality, our values to be shaped, crafted, and limited according to the priorities and cares of this phoney world? There are many truly important decisions that are crucial to our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, decisions that require information and research. But if it's an issue where money is involved, objective data won't be so easy to obtain. Remember, if everybody knows something, that image has probably been bought and paid for - because mammon rules. Real knowledge, discernment and understanding require a huge effort; it involves careful, systematic excavation down at least one level below what everybody else “knows,” and will most certainly cost you something. And if you are not prepared to pay the price, then read no further because this is not for you!

The power to fit in with one's social peers is irresistible. To a human lemming, the commonsense logic behind an opinion doesn't count as much as the power, popularity and acceptance that comes with that opinion. Lemming hood is a survival trait, an inborn instinct in the vast majority of people and takes an enormous amount of courage to break free of it. Thankfully, there are those few who do possess both the courage and intellectual capacity to escape the shackles of lemming hood and accept the truth when it is presented in a clear and logical manner. And it is to those open minded and independent thinkers, that I wish to dedicate this post.

The people of the 21st century are the most conditioned, programmed lemmings the world has ever known. Not only are our thoughts and attitudes continually being shaped and moulded; our very awareness of the evolving design seems like it is being subtly and inexorably erased. The doors of our perceptions are carefully and precisely regulated. It is an exhausting and endless task to keep explaining to people how most issues of conventional wisdom are scientifically implanted in the public consciousness bit by bit - by a thousand media clips per day. Once the basic principles are clearly seen about how our current establishment system arose historically, the reader might be more apt to question any given popular “politically correct” opinion.

Each of our so-called “realities” is an abstraction of indoctrinated axioms and perceived truths that are constrained by our sensory perceptions. From the moment of birth, we each embark on a personal journey to construct our own unique abstracted reality, or as I like to call it, “reality matrix.” In this matrix, each node consists of one or more of these perceived truths. During childhood, the foundational nodes of our reality matrix are laid, and shape the perception we will have as adults. For example, if you are born in England, you will learn to speak English with all its many and intricate cultural implications that will inevitably affect your life. If you are born in France you will learn French and so on. Additionally, we fine-tune our matrix with our own unique beliefs through our personal life’s experiences, good and bad. The matrix that is given to us along with the smaller part of the matrix that we create for ourselves soon becomes the "filter" or “guardian” of our minds. New knowledge is always passed through this filter to see if it fits our subjective preconceptions. This is how we decide what we will, or will not accept as truth. This filter ultimately becomes so powerful, that it is capable of completely blocking out data that it deems worthless, unreal or unsubstantial and becomes even stricter with what it allows, the older we become.

Ideally we should judge each new idea on its merits, from a position of emotional neutrality and solely upon the evidence and related information that we can find to support it. If we do manage to find sufficient and convincing proof, then it can be reasonably regarded as true and thus incorporated into our reality, but this is far easier said than done. Reality matrices vary greatly from person to person and may contain many conflicting beliefs. From within a person’s reality matrix arise thoughts, expectations, intentions and emotions, which lead to the choices that are made in daily life. Many of us live so close to the beliefs of our reality matrix that we don't recognize them as merely subjective beliefs. These entrenched ideas become absolute “truths” that must be held and defended at all costs. Our individual reality matrices are thereby kept in check and then reinforced by the collective matrix of the establishment-system, or what is colloquially termed as “political correctness.” This so-called “political correctness” is the expectation by the elite masters, for people to agree only with that information which the elite, through the controlled media everywhere, have conditioned the minds of the population to accept as being the truth. Much of this “truth” is nevertheless false, where critical facts upon which a true judgment depends are deliberately omitted or falsified, especially on critical issues which are generally upheld as being “public opinion” and thus to be accepted and believed.

Predictably, the very same people who place Presidents, Prime Ministers, Senators, and other representatives in positions of political power through the use of their multi-billion dollar fortunes are the same moneyed interests that have deliberately destroyed education. This cabbal have long strived for a working class that was to be taught to do a particular job and not to think about social or political issues. They have now created an educational structure cleverly focusing on training instead of cognitive learning. This ruler-imposed system, enhanced by anti-intellectual activities such as meaningless minority-group studies and the merits and joys of multiculturalism, creates programmed lemmings that understand almost nothing of what occurs beyond the propaganda and mythology of the political-financial elite. “Because state and corporate power depend on a similar set of unchallenged, unquestionable distortions and delusions, incoherence remains vital for their survival. After all, to present a coherent explanation as to why the Third World is starving, why the environment is falling apart, why there was a Cold War, why Panama was invaded, why there was a Gulf war, why forty per cent of British children live below the poverty line, and so on, would immediately involve revealing the truth that society is built on a set of necessary illusions. Consequently, the news we see and read, like education at school, must consist of a stream of disconnected, disembodied facts, with no context, no coherent explanation of meaning or significance, no background and no logical framework by means of which they could be understood. Because the only logical framework that fits-that the Western world is motivated by corporate profit at very nearly any human and environmental cost-is disallowed, a confused hotchpotch of ill-fitting, irrational frameworks must be invented and bolted together. The simple fact is, the education SYSTEM of today does ANYTHING-BUT to allow us to think freely. When you sit for an exam, the answers you provide are graded on how well they match with the indoctrination you have received during the year. Education is never about education in a real sense that produces character, wisdom and understanding because this would produce an objective mind-set, a dangerous thing indeed to those pulling the strings. It is all about rewarding those that CONFORM to establishment concepts, where it was understood long ago, that if you can control what people are taught and how their individual “reality filter” functions, then you can control the nature of society as a whole and inevitably steer it in the direction that you want. “We are actively discouraged from thinking constructively and questioningly, and once an individual has accepted the numb acquiescence so encouraged, an insidiously vicious circle has been successfully promoted. Another rather convenient result of such a situation is that people, who don’t think constructively, don’t even realise it.” Michael Timothy, The Anti-Intellectual Ethic

As unbelievable as it may seem, it's quite possible to be a Ph.D., Doctor, Lawyer, Businessman, Journalist, an Accountant, or Factory Hand and at the same time be an uneducated person in the true sense. The difference between real education and vocational training has been cleverly blurred in our time, so that we now have people successfully practicing their vocations, while at the same time being totally ignorant of the larger and more important issues of the world in which they live. An observation on curriculum from Alvin Toffler’s: "The Covert Curriculum.” "Built on the factory model, mass education taught basic reading, writing, and arithmetic, a bit of history and other subjects. This was the "overt curriculum." But beneath it lay an invisible or "covert curriculum" that was far more basic. It consisted -- and still does in most industrial nations -- of three courses: one in punctuality, one in obedience, and one in rote, repetitive work. Factory labour demanded workers who showed up on time, especially assembly-line hands. It demanded workers who would take orders from a management hierarchy without questioning. And it demanded men and women prepared to slave away at machines or in offices, performing brutally repetitious operations.”

The ancient Greek philosopher Socrates taught his students that the pursuit of truth could only begin once they started to question and analyse every belief that they had ever held dear. If a certain belief passes the tests of evidence, deduction, and logic, it should be kept. If it doesn't, the belief should not only be discarded, but the thinker must also then question as to why he was led to believe the erroneous information in the first place. Not surprisingly, this type of teaching didn't sit well at the time with the ruling elite of Greece, as Socrates was eventually tried for "subversion" and for "corrupting the youth". He was then forced to take his own life by drinking poison.
